A Man Inspired: Donovan attempts to build “Juiceboxes” (04-11-2402)

After having been dissuaded from his attempts at manufacturing what his faction saw as “cheap knock-offs” of pre-existing technology, Donovan decided to turn his talents towards the creation of something slightly more unique.  Given his abilities, and his recent ascension to the Boss tier, Donovan turned his technical know-how to the production and maintenance of an alternate power source for the Mercenary Army, allowing them to supplement their Core usage by powering their technology on what Donovan called “Juiceboxes”.

Already having the idea of how Cores worked, Donovan ran a few simple tests, summoning solid energy orbs before using his Gambits at varying s.p. ratings to cause them to use up their energy and noting the flow of energy through them, to get a general idea of how his juiceboxes would burn up their internal energy before they essentially burned out.  Once this was done he then summoned a new juicebox using 1000 system points, and setting it to output 50 system points per second, using the rest of the energy for ethereal induction in an attempt to perpetuate the process.  Once this was done, he observed the process, noting how the energy maintained itself and the slow rate at which it burned out.  Once this was achieved, he experimented with putting functions on this juicebox, an action which he realised caused the cores to burn out slightly faster.  Donovan raised an eyebrow, ignoring this for now as the juicebox still lasted relatively long for his purposes.

Donovan then repeated this process using 50 smaller juiceboxed, but realised that even though these also worked, they tended to burn out faster than using a single large juicebox.  Going with this, he then powered up to max, charged his energy and activated his Omega Drive before summoning his Maximum Controllable energy into a single Gambit.  Donovan would repeat this process another 3 times to create a total of 4 Gambits before he used them to draw forth the energy needed to create the massive juicebox which he envisioned.   As the Four Gambits went to work, they attempted to condense as much energy as possible into this core, using their combined Energy Control Abilities to condense as much energy as possible into the 3cm diameter which Donovan specified.  Unfortunately, neither Donovan nor his Gambits possessed the necessary control to compress the requested 1 million system points of energy into such a small space.  Even with Donovan’s ability to Lock the energy into a stable format and his myriad of other abilities, he found that 12,000 system points was essentially his maximum.  Donovan would scoff now, rather annoyed by the restrictions of his own form, resolving instead to condense 100 of these 12,000 system point juiceboxed before attempting to find some way to link them for the same effect.

Donovan would spend the rest of the day devising a powergrid which greatly resembled computer circuitry, using these 100 juiceboxes to create the equivalent “ethereal voltage” of a single 1 million system point juicebox.  He would end the day quite close to a final break through but would run out of the ability to use his Omega Drive and eventually run out of stamina as well before he could actually figure it out.  In his user form, he would document his progress and prepare his presentation for the higher-ups.

Outcome: Donovan has managed to produce 100 x 12,000 s.p. “Juiceboxes”, however he has not yet figured out how to properly link them.
