A Man Possessed: Demetri enters the Zeta Lake (05-11-2402)

For that enter day, Fyst was sensing that there was something wrong with his scrappy companion.  It had been a few hours now that he had not spoke, and it seemed almost as if the strange Terran had been pondering whether or not he should actually do what it was that he had been thinking about doing.  Fyst would continue to monitor Demetri as he continued to act suspicious before he finally got up and made his way towards the Zeta Lake.  Needless to say, Fyst raised an eyebrow, realising that Demetri didn’t even bother to power up, simply continuing his stride towards what Fyst had finally derived would be a rather painful death.

“What are you doing?”  Fyst inquired now, causing Demetri to turn his head slightly.

“What needs to be done...”  Demetri replied.  “I can’t explain it, but I need to do this.”  Was all he would say as he continued to motion towards the lake.  Fyst shook his head at the madness, wondering if the high energy saturation of the area had somehow sent his accomplice insane as he could see no good reason for his actions.

Fyst would watch as Demetri made his way into the lake, his form dissolving as the massive concentration of energy washed over him.  Fyst sighed heavily as he watched on, surprised the Demetri could even make it as far as he did before he was completely assimilated by the lake and broken down into pure energy.  Fyst would stand in shock for a few seconds before he finally accepted that Demetri was indeed gone.  As he turned to walk away, he would sense an odd energy fluctuation behind him, causing him to turn how as look as the surface of the lake rippled before it spewed a form into the air.

Fyst would raise an eyebrow as Demetri hovered above the lake, his form infused with Zeta and completely over written.  “Yes... now I remember... I know what needs to be done.”  Demetri sounded, scanning the area before he hovered towards Haezar.  “Time is short... Gaia must be saved.”  Were his final words before the two left the area, to avoid encounters with the creatures that they had no doubt attracted.

Outcome: Demetri has been destroyed and recreated due to his submergence in the lake.
