The Final Demonstration: Donovan presents his findings to the Mercenary Army (13-11-2402)

Having finally finished his research and having developed two workable projects, Donovan now had the pleasure of presenting these devices to the head of Research and Development at the Mercenary Army as well as some of the members of the Field Team.  In attendance was Enrique Bayman, his direct subordinate Kiara, Xavier Stryke and his subordinate Vasily, as well as the members of the Research and Development team.

As they all arrived, Donovan unveiled the posters that he had made for his products before he handed out the actual specifics of their production in small pamphlets so that the others could follow.  Once that was done, he explained their functions and how they could be applied.  His Juiceboxes, which he now referred to as ECS were to be used to supplement the factions energy requirements, allowing them to utilise their actual Energy Cores as currency, he explained, before going into exactly how easy they were to produce and just how much could be saved due to their usage.

Once this was done, Donovan then went onto his Uberisers, which he now referred to as CAFEM.  This sparked a particular interest in the field team as Donovan explained how these devices could actually boost the Maximum Controllable Energy of the wearer by no less than 25% while boosting the Ethereal Transmission Force of their techniques by such an extent that mid to high level Player Tier channelers could actually exert the same level of ethereal force as that of a low level Boss Tier channeler.  Needless to say however, his word was not enough to wow the crowd, forcing Donovan to resort to a practical demonstration.  Donovan had expected this, having already pre-programmed the training room’s virtual projector for the demonstration.

Donovan paused the lecture as he punched in a few commands, summoning a reinforced wall which was the equivalent of a Medium Assault Vehicle’s shielding.  Donovan powered up his form, blasting the device normally, drawing the attention of his audience to the amount of his energy that was deflected by the shielding.  Donovan then equipped the CAFEM to his form and tried again, this time actually managing to deal decent damage to the structure.  Donovan watched as the crowd nodded slightly, visibly impressed with his work.  Donovan would go on to suggest the applications for this device, motioning towards the creation of a modern day battering ram of sorts which could be used for less than stealthy infiltration.  His ideas would be noted as he continued, allowing the young Engineer to come to the end of his presentation.

Outcome: The Mercenary Army has approved both of Donovan’s projects and is open to the implementation of his CAFEM in the field, however the Mercenary Field team will have to vote on whether or not they should be included into the combat suit or utilised as a Carried Item.  The Army will also begin implementation of his ECS to cut down Core use.
