Braving The Storm: Jubei visits Itam’s Royal Guard training camp (24-02-2403)

Jubei’s arrival in the Jade City was met by quite a great deal of interrogation by the local guards in Hisuii city, wondering what the foreigner and Xelot could possibly be doing in such an area.  This left Jubei somewhat startled initially as the effects of the teleporter slowly wore off, allowing him to return to his senses and explain himself.  Jubei announced himself formally, he then explained that he had come to make somewhat of a social call, paying a visit to Corel Sinu Itami as part of his courtship of the young lady.  This drew noticeable amusement from the guards present, as they checked Jubei’s credentials and confirmed his identity with the Council of Xelots before they finally let him through.

Unfortunately, it would be up to Jubei to locate the actual training camp on his own.  This task didn’t take too long however, due to the fact that he simply had to find the powerful surges of waves and attempt to look past them and into the distance.  “What would you do for love?”  Jubei smirked to himself as he powered up his form to maximum and began to use his Dynamic Morphing ability to change his shape into something flatter, something that would not actually allow him to take the full impacts of Seiryu’s powerful flood surges.  As Jubei’s rather unique morph was completed, he began to slink along the ground, allowing the force of Seiryu’s surges to roll over his back, while his myriad of defensive abilities went to work shaving off the damage received from the surges that actually did manage to make it into contact with his form.

Jubei would continue to use this method to get towards the training camp as Seiryu’s powerful attacks whittled down his relatively high health, slowly bringing him closer and closer to reversion.  Noticing this, Jubei would pick up the pace, moving at regular intervals between surges as he attempted to make it to his destination as quickly as possible.  Jubei would eventually be forced into his Omega Drive, where he divided his energy boosts between deflection and speed so that he could finally arrive at the Itami training camp in one piece, there he would be met with further interrogation before he once again announced the reason for his arrival.

“I am Jubei Naoe of the Baseti house of Sasabon out Uchawi by Askari, I am here to inquire about Corel of the Itami house of Sinu.” Stated the relatively stocky Emulator now as he explained the details of his journey to the Itami Gate-Keepers, who simply detained him until Corel could arrive to vouch for him.

Jubei would wait patiently for over an hour before Corel would finally arrive at the gates, somewhat surprised to even see the Xelot waiting there.  Jubei would just smile at her as she arrived, reciting the Haiku.

“a strange land
saying I love you
again”

Corel would smile lightly, mostly amused but still slightly impressed at the lengths that Jubei would go to, the day would definitely be an interesting one.
