Breaking The Ice: Thales and Alyssa social with the Khan Twins (11-03-2403)

The Demai Operative and aspiring Demai member were quickly getting a taste of luxury aboard the yacht of the Khan twins, and were slowly realising that the life of luxury wasn’t as luxurious as it seemed.  The Khan twins spent a great deal of time doing maintenance to the vessel in which they lived, ensuring that everything was in working order at all times to ensure that should they need to utilise anything on their vessel against potential seabourne attackers, there would be no problems.  These maintenance tasks took up three to four hours of their schedule’s each day prior to the arrival of their two guests, who now cut down their work time to a little more than two hours.

During their work, Thales and Alyssa would socialise with the twins, inquiring about their social lives and other things of interest.  As expected, the two would learn that Eliz and Cheriz were not the most popular channelers on the social scene, spending a great deal of their time at sea, only docking at very specific locations to engage in prize fights when they felt the need for a battle or when they felt the need for a bit more cash than their wealthy parents allowed them.  This piqued the attention of Alyssa greatly as she took this as a possible ‘foot in the door’ for her faction, but decided not to play that card just yet.  Thales and Alyssa would then move on to inquire about the goals of these two channelers as they tried to get a better knowledge of the two channelers.

“Goals?”  Eliz paused now and smiled now.  “We’re living it girl.”  She laughed loudly, causing Cheriz to nod in agreement.

“You people get too caught up in things like money and power to enjoy the finer things in life some times.”  Cheris smirked as she added.  “What more can you want, peace and quiet, no one telling you what to do, you can go where you want when you want, and at the end of the day, when you get bored...”  She explained before Eliz cut in.

“...You can go break some skulls.”  Eliz mused, borrowing the catch line from her old acquaintance Breaker.

“That does sound good.”  Alyssa remarked with a smile.  “But faction life isn’t too bad either you know... well at least not on the Demai.”  She laughed.

“Yeah... unlike those other factions, the Demai is pretty laid back.”  Thales added.  “That’s why I’m looking to join, I think it would suit my particular lifestyle.”

“Well to each their own.”  Eliz remarked as they finished up the standard checks on one of the engines before moving on to the weapons systems.

“So you guys don’t mind not seeing your parents or friends that much?” Alyssa inquired now.

“Well our parents aren’t the loving parental types, they give us everything we need materially but that’s about it...”  Cheriz explained.

“But otherwise, they’re fairly detached.”  Eliz continued.  “As for friends...”  She paused now.  “...I’m sure we have friends... somewhere.”  She and Cheriz now laughed.

“Nah come on, there’s Jason... uhm... Rina... X is a nice kid... but he’s like twelve so maybe not him.  Okay so yeah, maybe we don’t have that many friends.”  Cheriz laughed louder, causing all four females to laugh now.

The conversation would slowly switch now from friends to their boat, the custom made Heavy Assault vehicle which they moved around the world in.  The Khan twins would explain their love for the sea and how it tended to override their sensibility when it came to vehicle choice.  They would go on to explain its systems, which truthfully weren’t particularly unique, just extremely well tuned to do what they needed it to do.  Their conversation would draw on for a quite a while as they got to know each other better, with Thales even pushing to get the two to teach her their own unique combat style.
