Fulfilling a Promise: Jais has some help repairing Thanatos (05/08/2403)

Having had to use such force to actually subdue Thanatos had caused a great deal of damage to its major offensive and defensive systems, as well as a number of smaller sub-systems.  This meant that in addition to repairing the golem’s neural network, Jais would also need to fix and in some places, replace a number of his parts.  Normally, this would have made for an impossible task, but with the assistance of the scientists at Tel Aviv and young Thomas Gates, Jais would have a bit of help with the matter.

The repairs to the golem would be extensive, but luckily with Fate being able to produce raw materials for free, the only thing that would need to come out of Jais’ pocket would be the cores used to replace his damaged power cells.  For this reason, the physical repairs to the unit would be over quickly compared to the energetic repairs which Jais opted to attempt on his own at first before getting external help.  Given his abilities, binding with and interfacing with the golem on an ethereal and astral level was actually relatively easy with Thanatos in such a damaged state, as Jais had less to worry about than he would have in their previous battles.  With this established now, he would interface with the unit and begin its neural upgrades, doing the work himself while the scientists present guided him through the more technical parts and Thomas did what he could to be of assistance.

The upgrade processes would be somewhat complex as Jais actually allowed Thanatos to ‘decide’ what would be changed and what would be kept.  The first installations would be the Pyron engine and the Nano-tech optimisation and auto-repair systems.  Once this was done they would upgrade his melee armaments with a solid shield and vibra-blade technology.  A material vacuum and an automa docking port would be the final additions to Thanatos before his upgrades were complete.  Once this was done, the team would call it a day.

Outcome:  Thanatos has been upgraded successfully at the cost of 30 Cores.
