The Meaning of Fear: Razak interrogates one of the “Merry Men” (05/08/2403)

It took a lot of pleading on the part of the Demai to let a relatively unknown psychic interrogate one of the Merry Men, but as it was with their assistance that the gang of nuisances were actually caught, Serif, the leader of the Kai’en decided that she would allow for the interrogation.  As ‘Robin’ and ‘Mary’ were the two more important members of the team and ‘Sherwood’ had the strongest mind of them all, the massive bruiser ‘John’ was selected for the interrogation and Razak was allowed to go to work.

Razak would begin the interrogation by ensuring that all of his victim’s energetic enhancements were suppressed, leaving just his biological enhancements as he was heavily restrain.  Razak would begin by sifting through his target’s mind, attempting now to keep up with the extremely fast rate of processing which John seemed to possess as a result of his ‘upgrades’.  This proved to be somewhat difficult for the young psychic as he tried to isolate specific thoughts, forcing him to activate his Darkness aura as he began to put a great deal of mental strain on his target.  This proved to be a very painful process of the enhanced user, but Razak didn’t seem to care much as he now went to work extracting the information from his victim’s mind.  The first order of business would be to extract information on his fears in order to speed up the process, using these images now, but amplified up to his maximum output and reapplied to ‘John’s’ mind.  Once again his victim’s distress did not seem to deter Razak as the mental strain actually began to cause damage to his opponent.  At first, Razak merely strugged, only holding back to ensure that his victim remained conscious, but as his energies continued to affect his target, he realised that they were slowly warping the large man’s mind and making it harder for him to extract the necessary information.

At this point he would tune it down somewhat, allowing his opponent’s mental fatigue to provide enough discomfort to prevent him from attempting to shield his thoughts.  Razak would then move onto the information extraction.  Razak would first learn all that he could about the Robin Hood bounty, attempting to unravel the true purpose behind it, before he then moved on to find a detailed analysis of the technology which they all used to augment themselves.  Once this was done, he would delve into sponsorship and backing before he tried to figure out what the larger scheme was.  Once this was done, he would record the information on his Data Pad and lock it, before leaving the room.

Outcome: Razak has managed to acquire the information which he needed, but at the cost of ‘John’s’ mental health.  His brute force methods have left his victim with permanent mental scarring, leaving him in a questionable state of mental health.
