Bonding: Bobby, Nikolai and Karl spend a day with the Cleis del Angelus (28/08/2403)

Bobby had suggested the Nikolai and Karl put on their ‘righteous’ faces and that the three of them engage in some of the daily worship activities of their Faction’s allies, but Bobby would quickly learn that he was the one who should have prepared himself.  Being a noble, Nikolai knew full well how to interact with member of the extremely up-tight clan, while Karl’s own zealous fervour allowed him to get along with them just fine.  This left only Bobby to feel someone uncomfortable around the extremely religious citizens of Alegens.  Regardless of this however, the trio would make it through the extremely boring regilious ceremonies which lasted from dawn until midday, where they would be allowed to leave and seek out an audience with one of the high priests in the area.

Having been the ones that returned the artefact, Bobby would use his leverage in an attempt to secure the Xelot Research and Development team an opportunity to study the device.  This would not go over well with the Cleis however, as they refused to subject one of their holy artefacts to demeaning scientific tests, suggesting that gifts from God did not need scientific examination.  Under Nikolai’s advisement, Bobby would drop it.  Afterwards, he would then find out whether or not the Cleis del Angelus had taken an official stance on what should become of the refugees that had fled to Redrocke.  Bobby would then offer his services, along with those of Nikolai and Karl, in rounding up the remaining refugees and returning them to Alegens, where the Cleis could do whatever it was that they saw as just.  At first, his suggestion would seem somewhat controversial, but after some time, his hosts would agree to the offer, with a single stipulation: they were to avoid harming those that did not engage in combat, and where possible, spare the lives of those that surrendered.  Bobby and Nikolai would agree to this before the High Priest provided them with the new location of the clan’s hideout in Desolate.

Bobby would finish the conversation by inquiring about other clans who found themselves aligned with the Cleis’ religious beliefs, seeking additional potential allies in their quest to spread righteousness.  Unfortunately, he would quickly learn that they were no other clans that fit that description.  He would be informed of the Osiire, and their reputation as a holy clan, but he warned Bobby of their tendency to act as sanctuary for the depraved and the decadent.  Bobby would agree to look into the clan and see if it was possible for an alliance to be struck with them as well.

Once this was done, Bobby, Nikolai and Karl would make their way back into the Cathedral and find somewhere to relax for the rest of the day.

Outcome: The Xelots have received information on the location of the remaining Cleis refugees, and have been advised to investigate the possibility of an alliance with the Dregonus clan.
