|
Bloodrose:
A relative of
the trees of
life these
plants during
their maturation
phase crawl to
an area where a
recently
deceased
lifeform had
died and
reconstitutes it
around itself,
in the process
integrating
itself into its
new host body. A
Bloodrose host
essentially has
all the skills
and abilities it
did in life
along side of a
now immense
healing factor
and a complete
and total
disregard for
pain or
self-preservation
allowing the
Bloodrose to
commit the next
part of its
need, to
reproduce and
feed upon other
life-forms
speeding up
their entropy
rather than
reversing it in
order to collect
the energy it
needs to make
seeds for the
next generation.
Usual
locations:
Crystales,
Desolate, Hell
Possible
Locations:
Haiman,
Frostmore,
Eranes, Jin

Byakko:
This wind
elemental is
thought to be an
ethereal
construct,
designed as a
form of security
for the clan
that preceded
the Malaikin
clan in the
Caribbean area.
It is also
believed that
this entity was
the downfall of
its creators and
was the primary
agent in the
destruction of
all life within
the island
chain.
When discovered
by the Malaikin
clan, Byakko
appeared to be a
neutral spirit,
however after
the fusion of
Terra and Oya
and the
subsequent
corruption of
the entity by
Zeta energy,
Byakko has
become
uncontrollably
destructive.
This has
effectively cut
off the Malaikin
main city from
the Rogue
Fortress, The
Garrison.

locations:
Malaikin

Chicomecoatl:
The Wild Vine.
This creature is
marked by a mass
of smooth and/or
spiky vines used
to comprise
everything from
roads to
buildings and
even a number of
the inhabitants
of the massive
area of land
which she
occupies.
This entity,
which once
claimed
god-hood, is now
a sovereign
citizen and
noble of the
Crystales
empire, a
position to
which she was
appointed after
the initial war
between the
massive clan and
her own forces
(her own self).
She now rules
over as large a
portion of
Southern
Crystales as she
can occupy,
employing her
Snap Dragon
emissaries to
assist in the
maintenance and
governance of
her people.

Crystal
Mimics:
Within the
crystal forest,
a divergent
evolution has
occurred in the
fungal life
form
which forms the
cores of the
crystal trees.
This divergence
has seen a
specialized type
of the crystal-encased
life form arise,
an active hunter
version of the
fungus which
detaches from
the rest of the
forest to hunt
down and devour
creatures which
slip into its
grasp. Being
that they are
essentially the
same thing as
the forest they
are able to
mimic any
techniques used
within range for
themselves.
However they
have a very
limited ability
to do this and
thus can only
store about 2
unique abilities
at a time and
they also have
very low
intelligence and
thus will always
pick up the last
technique used
in their
vicinity and
lose the oldest
despite possible
tactical
superiority.
Usual
locations:
Crystales
Possible
Locations:
Aianores, Jin

Gargoyle:
Given their name
because of their
resemblance to
the legendary
creatures, these
entities appear
to come and go
as they please.
The fact that
their
appearances
tended to occur
near to the
Phasic Gates
caused Oyans to
believe
initially that
they were common
inhabitants of
Terra, but this
is not the case.
These entities,
are humanoid in
body design, but
much like the
behemoths they
have cloven
hands and feet.
They also
possess a strong
tail and fleshy
mammalian wings.
There faces are
featureless,
possessing just
brightly glowing
eyes, pointed
ears and they
usually have
long white hair
to compliment
their gray skin.
The only
confirmed
abilities of
these creatures
is their stealth
capabilities,
though they have
been rumoured to
possess a number
of other
abilities.
Usual
locations:
Crystales,
Haiman
Possible
locations:
Everywhere

Genbu:
This slow and
generally
lethargic entity
is the main
transport and
guardian of the
lost city
referred to as
Pandora's
Temple, and
seems to have
been create
specifically for
that point.
The large
entity, which
resembles a
turtle, wanders
the Jin
landscape,
absorbing all
forms of energy
and bringing
with it ethereal
blackouts where
ever it goes.
The creature
exhibits
absolute control
over solid
matter in
contact with or
linked to its
form,
facilitating its
geomancy, as
well as a number
of secondary and
tertiary
abilities.
Studies have
concluded that
the creature's
energy
absorption
abilities are a
later addition
to its move-set
and proposes
that when
initially
activated, it
could have been
the downfall of
the arcane
civilisation
which it was
created to
protect.

Lurk:
With the recent
merger of the
worlds a new
creature has
been noted
roaming the
lands. The Lurk
seems to be a
kind living
spatial/temporal
disturbance, its
form itself is a
sketchy
amalgamation of
a multitude of
near
unidentifiable
creatures, each
lurk baring a
unique
chimerical
appearance and
having powers of
localized time
and space
distortion. Many
times it has
been noted the
definite
correlation
between the form
and abilities of
the Lurk with
those of Golems
and other
‘elemental’
classed
entities.
Usual
locations:
Crystales,
Hell,
Haiman

Merian:
A definite
offshoot of
humanity, this
species is
thought to be a
result of the
evolution of sea
dwelling humans.
The
underlying skin
tone of Merian
is very similar
to that of the
average human,
with only small
modifications
having been made
to adapt it to
the aquatic
environment.
Over this
skin, on certain
parts of the
body a very thin
and smooth
exoskeleton is
deposited,
causing certain
parts of their
body to take on
a marble-like
scale
appearance.
The upper
body of Merian
are almost
identical to
those of humans,
with the
exceptions of
retractable,
blade-like fins
on the outsides
of their
forearms and
their backs.
Below the
torso is almost
completely
covered in the
mable-scale
exoskeleton,
which is
designed
specifically to
lock the legs
together and
facilitate a
fin-like
structure.
Retractable fins
also exist on
the hips, the
back of the
thighs and the
ankles.
Models
have shown that
Merian can
actually appear
to be quite
human when fully
retracted, but
they seldom
exist in this
state.
Like
humans, they
tend to possess
ethereal
channeling
abilities, but
are also
equipped with a
number of
organic
channeling
abilities to
facilitate their
day to day
marine lives.

Sapient:
A mammal of
indiscernible
descent,
possessing five
limbs (two
smaller arms,
two large legs
and a third
lower limb that
can sometimes
function as a
third leg or a
tail) is a
relatively rare
species.
Though
they can be
found literally
anywhere in the
world due to
their unique
ability to
translocate
across the
continents, they
tend to be found
in areas where
other psychic
entities dwell.
Being
naturally
powerful
psychic's
themselves;
Sapients possess
a number of
abilities from
basic telepathy
and empathy to
advanced reality
warping.
Interestingly
enough, though
their
intelligence
level suggests
that they should
be able to
develop ethereal
channeling,
these creatures
never
exhibit
non-psychic
abilities.
Their
body structures
are relatively
humanoid in
terms of
proportions,
facial features
and location of
their limbs,
with the major
differences
being the size
of their two
main legs.
However
their skin more
closely
resembles that
of a dolphin in
terms of texture
and tone,
causing them to
look somewhat
alien.

Malaikin,
Aianores, Jin

Seiryu: This is the
massive draconic
entity, which
rules the seas
and the coast of
Tsunam.
The four limbed
blue dragon
measures 100m in
length,
possessing a
prominent
sail-like dorsal
fin and a strong
tail for quick
movement through
the water.
Originally
thought to be a
naturally
occurring
organism, it was
only later
discovered that
this beast was
created by the
original Asian
race that was
later
assimilated into
the Itami clan.
The dragon-god
was created by
the early magic
users as a deity
and the
creature's
concept and
power was
reinforced by
the beliefs of
the Itami clan.
Seiryu possesses
absolute control
over liquid
water naturally
and has since
developed a
number of
secondary and
tertiary
ethereal
abilities. Its
most prominent
ethereal ability
is a condensed
ether stream
used to carve
out the cave
system that runs
through Tsunam.

locations:
Itam

Snap Dragon:
These can take
any form that
Chicomecoatl
may require them
to and tend to
possess
abilities
related to their
form and
function.
There primary
forms include
humanoid forms,
draconic forms
and more
plant-like forms.
Usual
locations:
Crystales
Possible
Locations:

Suzaku:
The great
phoenix of the
South, Suzaku,
inhabits the
Brazen Desert,
spreading its
flames over the
entire area.
Much like the
other three
creatures of
legend (Byakko,
Genbu and Seiryu),
Suzaku is
actually an
ethereal
construct,
created by one
of the lost
clans of Gaia.
The creature
possesses
absolute control
over flames as
well a number of
secondary and
tertiary
abilities.
Its most
prominent
ability outside
of its flame use
is its poison
affinity, which
corrupts the
ether stream in
the area around
it making it
harmful for
other
channelers.
Once a month,
Suzaku resets
its power,
returning to an
egg form for 5
days and
allowing the
poison effect to
dissipate from
the area.
After this time,
Suzaku
re-emerges fully
replenished and
circles the
Brazen Desert
for another
month.

Desolate

Tree Of
Life:
Originally
thought to be a
juvenile form of
the World Tree,
these creatures
seem to be the
counterpart of
the World Trees
in whatever
world setting
preceded the
current Gaia
landscape.
These entities
feed on entropy,
creating
enthalpy.
Primitive races
once thought
that these
creatures fed on
death and
created life,
leading to their
name. It
is believed that
though these
creatures first
appeared to
Oyans and
Terrans after
the fusion, that
they are somehow
linked to the
existence of
Chicomecoatl.
The actual link
is unclear
however.
Usual
locations:
Crystales,
Desolate
Possible
Locations:
Haiman,
Frostmore,
Eranes

Tremok:
When stationary,
these entities
appear to be
giant mushrooms,
but are actually
the guardians of
the Underhill.
These
unintelligent
creatures are
the embodiment
of rage, tending
to attack almost
any and
everything that
they come into
contact with.
These creatures
manipulate
mainly psychic
energy ranged
attacks, a feat
given their low
intelligence,
while their
primary
offensive
prowess comes
from their high
physical
strength.

locations:
Aianores
