.:Information
on Common Oyan Beasts:.
|
|
Archna:
Found where ever
one of the World
Trees can be
found, these are
the only
organisms that
have been known
to inhabit the
great towering
structures,
living in
symbiosis with
the trees to
provide
protection from
any predators
that would be
bold enough to
prey on the
imposing
structures. The
archna are
renowned for
their flight
speed and
maneuverability,
which is best
utilised in
their dive
bombing attack
strategies.
These insectoid
organisms
possess the
ability to store
massive amounts
of excess energy
in small pellets
of bio-organic
waste.
Converting these
pellets to
explosive
materials gives
them their main
form of defense
against
predators.
During mating
season, these
insectoids take
part in aerial
dog fights
around
Yggdrasil, to
acquire mates,
however due to
their relatively
small size when
compared to the
tree, these
violent
competitions
cause the tree
to simply appear
as if it is
sparkling.

Behemoth:
The names of
these creatures
tends to be
rather self
explanitory.
These creatures
are said to be
the result of
the abandonment
of a number of
humans, in the
early 16th
century on the
island of
Desolate.
These people
were thought to
have evolved at
the same rate at
the creatures
which inhabited
the area,
possessing a
number of
organic magical
abilities to
compliment the
natural ability
of human souls
to gain
channeling
potential.
They maintain
the humanoid
body structure,
but have evolved
ivory claws and
hooves to
replace their
fingers and toes
respectively.
They also
possess a thick
fleshy tail, and
increased
amounts of body
hair among the
males.
They have little
need for
clothing as
their thick skin
defense provides
more than enough
protection from
the environment
normally.
They also boast
an extremely
muscular
physique and
tend to have an
unkempt
appearance.
On a basic
level, they
possess human
intelligence but
tend have little
intellectual and
social
development
capacity.
Usual
Locations:
Desolate
Possible

Benraevi:
Quadrupedal
organisms of
human class
intelligence,
these are
thought to have
evolved from
polar bears,
retaining a
number of the
features of that
organism.
They differ from
their supposed
ancestors in
that they
possess bright
red, yellow and
orange fur as
well as slightly
larger heads.
They have also
adpated a more
structured pack
hunting
mentality,
abandoning
stealth.
Benefiting from
an overdrive of
the natural
mammalian
homeostasis
system, which
later developed
into the ability
to generate and
control large
amounts of heat.
The tend to live
in colder areas,
where they
terraform the
environment to
suit their
preferred
tastes.
Some Benraevi
tribes have been
known to branch
of into warmer
climates but are
met with less
success then
their cold
climate
counterparts.
Usual
locations:
Frostmore,
Osiire.
Possible
Locations:
Crystales
|
|
Berserker:
Another
descendant of
the bear family,
these creatures
take their
origin from the
famous grizzly
variety of that
family.
Berserkers
actually tend to
be rather
peaceful
normally, only
attacking other
organisms to
feed or when
threatened.
Unfortunately
the creatures
also seem to
have an over
developed
maternal
instinct,
causing females
to become
extremely
aggressive when
in the company
of youth of the
species.
The Berserkers
have an
extremely
defined body,
showing their
developed
muscilar
physique.
They have longer
limbs than their
ancestors,
causing their
bodies to
approach a more
humanoid
physique,
however, being
primarily
adapted to
walkinig on four
legs, this is
not fully the
case. They
possess very
hard and brittle
fur, which acts
as a defense
mechanism, and
possess some
geomancy
abilities.
There
intelligence is
high, those
their
intellectual
capacity is too
low to be
compared to that
of humans.

Aianores,
Crystales, Jin
Possible
Locations:

Chimera:
Bipedal
feathered
species of
organisms.
Though their
processing
abilities are on
par with humans,
they never
evolved a high
social or
intellectual
capacity,
leaving them
quite beastial
in their
behaviors.
The feathers of
these creatures
are said to be
the reason for
their natural
defense
mechanism, an
almost
undetectable
stealth.
As their stealth
features are
thought to be an
organic magical
ability rather
than one related
to their soul's
channeling
potential, their
feathers tend to
be used in the
creation of
stealth armours.
Usual
Locations:
Jin, Hell,
Malaikin,
Desolate.
Possible
Locations:
Crystales, Itami

Coldrake
- Massively
muscular,
feather scales
take on the look
of elongated
quill,
completely white
for visual
stealth, main
attack ability
is Psychic in
nature, forcing
a prey item to
submit to its
will while
attacking the
prey with
physical might,
this tactic
allows them to
make it into the
prey item's mind
via the
distration of
its physical
threat. Also the
Bite of the cold
drake is known
to have the
lingering effect
of causing
energy to drain
away from the
area, causing
frost-bite to
the afflicted
flesh.

Frostmore,
Osiire, Eranes

Constrictors:
Never ones to be
left behind,
the constrictor
family of snakes
seemed to have
benefited even
more so than any
others among the
snakes by the
advent of magic.
Impossibly
powerful
serpents now
roam with what
could be termed
super
strength,
and more
importantly a
powerful form of
tactile
telekinesis
which allows
them to apply
every ounce of
said power to
any point which
they touch. It
has also been
reported that
their very force
seems imbued
with an ether
preservative
which allows
them to
literally crush
their prey into
what is
essentially an
ether stone,
which they then
swallow and
allow to feed
them for some
time to come.
Constrictors are
especially
valued for this
ability by most
creature which
can manage to
avoid being
their prey, so
much so that
only 1 in 13
stones created
by the beasts
are ever
actually
personally
devoured, the
rest being
stolen by any
number of
different thief
species at least
2 of which
depend upon the
snakes for these
meals.
Usual
Locations:
Crystales,
Aianores, Jin,
Itam
Possible

Delgranger:
Previously
thought to be
relatives of the
Benraevi, these
creatures have
been discovered
to possess a
canine ancestry,
making them far
more friendly
and as a result
easier to team.
They possess a
similar fur
colour to the
benraevi, with
their main
possessing
distinguishing
feature being
dark tribal
markings on
their hind
quarters.
These creatures
possess the
intelligence of
small human
children, but
have adapted a
rich and complex
social
structure.
Delgrangers are
possibly the
most wide spread
non-pest
creatures in all
of Oya.
Usual

Crystales,
Malaikin,
Aianores, Jin,
Itam, Osiire
Possible

De'rak: A
six limbed
draconic race
(four legs, two
wings), that
tends to prefer
isolated and
under populated
areas.
These creatures
have an aversion
to contact with
members of other
races or even
other clans.
They have been
known to work
closely with
humans in dire
times but
otherwise prefer
to be left
alone, and are
more than
willing to use
aggression to
achieve this.
These creatures
have a high
developed social
structure,
making them
easily offended
by members of
other races an
clans.
These creatures
have a high
predisposition
for flame magic,
but have full
channeling
capacity.
Usual
locations:
Crystales,
Aianores,
Hell
Possible
locations:
Jin, Itam,

D'lann:
These dark
formless
creatures are
known to cause a
number of power
problems near
settlements
which rely on
any form of
power relay
system, and as
such are
considered to be
pests in more
developed Oyan
countries.
These creatures
have the ability
to dynamically
morph their
forms according
to the
situations, and
can usually been
discerned by the
lack of sensory
information
which they
output.
This is due to
their high
energy
absorption
potential.
Some d'lann have
the ability to
manipulate and
discharge the
energy which
they absorb,
giving them the
abillity to
mimic some
channeling
potencial.

Drake:
This denotes a
family of lifeforms which
are
characterised by
their serpentine
two limbed
bodies and the
strange frayed
elongated scale
structures which
give them the
impression of
being feathered.
All variant
species carry
these traits.

Dream
Feeders:
Psychic,
vampiric spiders
which drain
ether and
psychic
attributes from
prey to augment
and feed
themselves. They
spin a web which
captures and
echoes psychic
attributes
within a certain
leeway. They are
either a mix of
dark and psychic
or pure psychic
elementa. Dream
Feeders have an
instinctual
understanding of
how to craft
psychic shades
as lures for
their webs. A
remnant
bioweapon of
Jin.

Genon: A
quadrupedal
beast class
organism, these
slow witted
beasts tend to
inhabit hot
climates, and
the
concentrations
of their numbers
is directly
proportional to
the temperature
of the area.
They have
thickly armoured
hydes and the
ability to
dynamically
morph their
bodies at will.
They creatures
have a very
prehistoric
apparence,
making it hard
to discern their
ancestors, but
they are known
for a number of
defensive
mechanisms that
may or may not
be present in
members of all
of the species.
The single
commonality
between these
mechanisms is
the fact that
they are
generated by a
single gland at
the back of the
through of the
creature and is
released through
the mouth.

Goldrake
- Large winged
serpents.
Utilize rapid
dive speeds and
extremly sharp
piercing
feather-scales
to rip prey to
shreads as it
dives past.
Goldrakes also
use ether
retardant
toxins, allowing
them to more
easily shread
prey and even
immobilise it.
Usual

Golemn:
These occur as
imbalances in
links between
astral and
ethereal
energies, where
the ethereal
energy is in a
higher
concentration.
This makes them
extremely sturdy
and near
impssoble to
destroy, giving
them boosted
physical
abilities and
extremely high
endurance.
This however
makes them
extremely poor
channelers,
causing them to
feed on astral
energy to build
up power for
channeler-esque
abilities.
Usual
locations:
Aianores,
Crystales, Hell,
Desolate
Possible

Grand Serpent:
A member of the
group of
organisms that
have gained
themselves the
class of Dragon.
The grand
serpent
resembles the
electric eel in
anatomy and body
function,
possessing a
number of
organic magical
abilities making
it predesposed
to electrical
abilities,
however its
outward physical
appearance has
evolved to
resemble that of
the chinese long
dragon of
legend.
The Grand
Serpent
possesses over
human level
intelligence,
intellect and
social
development
capacity, though
these creatures
tend to live a
lonely life.
Usual
Locations:
Jin, Itami
Possible
locations:
Malaikin,
Haiman,
Aianores.
|
|
Haiman:
These were
created in an
attempt to
replicate life
and the
abilities to
channel magic,
without the
possession of a
soul. They
are the product
of years of
illegal research
into the field,
and a number of
failed attempts.
They are in
effect a race of
sentient,
channeling life
forms, made
almost
completely of
magic.
They possess
human
intelligence,
intellect and
social
development
capacity.
Due to the death
of their
creator, they
have developed a
strong hatred
for all beings
with souls and
attempt to
exterminate
them. To
all of the rest
of Oya, they are
considered a
pest species.
The Haiman
infestation as
been contained
over a land mass
that bears the
name of it's
primary
inhabitant, and
wars are
constantly waged
on the borders
of this land
mass to keep
them contained.
As a result,
clans that live
on that border
receive
subsidies from
other Oyan
countries for
their service.

Juggernaut:
The great lords
of the waters,
the Bardic
kings. These
beasts are the
greater
descendants of
the humpback
whales which
once roamed the
oceans. While
often considered
of little
importance in
the political
scenes of the
more prevalent
cultures, these
great beasts
have had a
significant
impact upon
cultures the
entire world
around.
Though
titanic of body
their true
strengths lay in
their immense
psychic talents,
exhibiting
both the pure
strength of
their abilities
and the sheer
skill which they
employ in
utilizing them.
From the first
time of contact
these beasts
have been,
for a fee of
energy,
entertaining and
beguiling the
minds of happy
customers with
psy-scapes;
enfusing
the senses with
an event which
can be described
as movie
production in
full 3d with all
senses accounted
for. Psychic
impressions of
their
performances
pressed onto
ether stones are
often traded for
with great
enthusiasm
amoung their fan
followings,
which stretch
from continent
to continent,
they themselves
benefiting from
the influx of
both new psychic
‘material’ to
work with and
easy food in the
form of ether
payments. It is
a testament to
their prowess
that there are
no recorded
incidents of an
attack upon
these creatures
not peacefully
resolved within
mere moments of
its inception.
Usual
locations:

Kitsune:
No doubt a
member of the
canid family,
these creatures
greatly resemble
foxes in their
natural forms,
possessing any
number of tails
from one to
nine.
Younger kitsune
possess less
tails while the
older, stronger
creatures
possess more,
with their
number of tails
being directly
proportional to
their power.
There is a
legendary
Kitsune, called
the Lady, who is
rumored to
possess 10
tails.
Kitsunes are
Succubi by
nature, a
feeding method
made successful
by their ability
to morph, cast
illusions to
mask their
canine forms and
a number of
other deceptive
techniques.
Kitsune are
indigenous to
Amaterasu where
they live
peacefully, but
tend to be
scorned in other
highly developed
nations due to
their methods of
acquiring 'prey'
and 'feeding' on
them.

Krickau:
A small rodent
that previously
inhabited a
number of areas
of Oya until
they were hunted
down and driven
to the brink of
extinction.
These usually
docile creatures
are, in
appearance,
rather cute, but
are also
extremely
flighty.
So much so that
they do not
hesitate to use
their natural
defenses on any
organism that
they consider to
be a possible
threat.
This small
quadruped has
large hind limbs
which it uses
for hopping, but
otherwise
possesses a
rather frail
physique.
It's single
defense
mechanism is the
ability to
generate
disproportionately
large quantities
of plasma within
its body and
release it in a
stream to
facilitate a
number of
functions.
In addition to
this, they tend
to explode when
dispatched,
releasing this
plasma in a
destructive
wave. They
are now rear
near inhabited
areas as they
would be killed
on site.

Leviathan:
The number of
these organisms
present on the
planet is
unknown as they
tend to be
indistinguishable
from one another
and two are
seldom seen in
the same place
at the same
time.
These huge
creatures are
known to sail
the skies,
varying in size
from 50m x 30m x
25m to as much
as 150m x 70m x
35m, possessing
power on par
with that of a
Carrier class
ship.
Their natural
body structure
is said to be
adapted to house
life inside of
itself, causing
many researchers
to believe that
these creatures
were artificial
life forms
create for
transport.
It was later
discovered that
these reinforced
labyrinths
inside of the
creatures were
designed to
house swallowed
organisms so the
could be
digested later,
allowing the
creatures to
stretch out
meals and avoid
wasting any part
of a meal.

Lioras:
A
highly sexually
dimorphic
species said to
be decedents of
the lions of the
Savanna. These
beasts are light
based elementals
in which the
male of the
species is
exceptionally
large and
physically
powerful,
utilizing a
glyph based
armour of light
as both a
piercing/grappling
weapon,
as well as
a defense all at
once. The female
of the species
generates its
own version of
the same armour,
utilizing it to
become
visually and
ethereally
cloaked,
as well as
to create
clones of
herself to
confuse prey
during the hunt.
Unlike the male,
females
have
both melee and
ranged offensive
weaponry
specialized for
taking prey
while it is
focused on the
clones. Lioras
have been long
considered a
symbol of power
and grace by
peoples the
world over. In a
small number of
both male and
females of the
species runic
wings have been
observed.

Loch:
Serpentine
creatures,
possessing
higher than
human level
intelligence.
These creatures
tend to reside
deep within
large bodies of
water, and live
a life free of
the commodities
of organisms
with human level
intelligence or
higher. As
a result, they
boast an
extremely
developed
physical body,
with a number of
organic magical
defenses, which
only further
compliment their
extreme
intelligence and
high channeling
capacity.
They are the
only organisms
to have been
engaged in war
with the Haiman
since their
creation and to
have survived
the onslaught,
making them the
only organisms
with souls in
the Haiman area.

Maug’Ridg:
A beast of
indiscernible
mammalian decent.
A
shaggy affair
with a blunt
snout and its
body awash with
warning
colorations of
bright
outstanding
combinations of
red,
yellow
and
black.
It
wages sensory
warfare with all
that it comes
into contact
with and
at every level.
For while it
indeed has a
foul initial
odor,
the beast also
has specialized
sprays which
posses an
even fouler
scent,
being
ethereally
imbued with gut
wrenching,
sensory twisting
energies.
As
a passive
ability,
even the ether
around the beast
warps into a
distinctly
unpleasant
cesspool,
causing the very
act of
channeling to
hold an
unpleasant
feeling while it
also projects a
disturbingly
unpleasant
psychic aura as
well. Even its
carcass is
unpleasant for
when it dies it
infects all of
the local ether
and psychic
residue with its
distinctive
unpleasantness,
while its body
literally bloats
and explodes
into a truly
foul concoction,
with an
unexplainable
persistence,
exhibiting
a strange minor
form of
magical fallout
which continues
to ‘haunt’ an
area with its
foul presences
for a while
after it
expires. Its
name translates
to Foul Fool.
Much like the
Krickau, these
creatures were
exterminated
locally by many
of the larger
established
clans.

Mirdrake
- These drakes
have long
flowing versions
of their
scale-feathers
which are highly
reflective in
nature. Revered
by many for the
beauty of the
shifting colour
formations which
play
dramatically
across their
hides, the
Mirdrakes are
know as having a
mastery of the
utilization of
Light for both
defensive and
offensive
purposes. Many a
predator has
come to find
itself blinded
and scorched by
these peacocks
of the drakes.
Due to the
effectiveness of
its many light
based defensed
in the areas in
which it
originally
lived, the
Mirdrake is a
surprisingly
approchable
creature,
treating others
just as many

Murder:
The descendents
of the black
bird family they
have become
sleeker hunting
machines, made
for swarming an
opponent into
submission via
high speed
strikes. But
this is the
least important
aspect of their
nature. Each
bird in the
group
contributes a
part of it
psyche to an
amalgamation of
psychic links,
it is in fact
this
amalgamation of
links and not
the birds
themselves which
is referred as
the Murder.
Within the
Murder each bird
becomes a hand
of the whole,
each a piece of
a precise and
intelligent
being dedicating
itself to
becoming greater
and more
powerful. A true
Murder can form
with only 3
birds in a
linked group and
as such
individual
Murders have
been noted
throughout the
world, each its
own distinct
personality, the
Murder itself
having a soul
and psyche
separate and
distinct from
those of the
birds which it
commands as its
own. Vicious
wars of
integration are
often fought
between rival
murders, the
object of which
is to diminish
their foes
enough to
overwhelm and
integrate what
is left of them
into themselves.
In Itam there is
a single murder
who has served
the royal family
for as long as
any remember, a
beast who’s
membership
counts in the
millions and is
itself a
channeler of
great repute,
Karasu the Tengu.
Individual birds

usually referred
to as Krow.

Nix:
Actively
engineered
through years of
selective
breeding in
conjunction with
genetic and
ethereal
augmentation by
the now extinct
Jin Clan, the
Nix are a
widespread and
highly sought
after mount
species.
These creature
possess a
natural
dimensional
affinity,
allowing them to
travel to
anywhere in the
world, even
across water, in
only a fraction
of the time that
it would take
other entities.
These creatures
were once raised
and rewarded by
being fed ether,
and have thus
developed a
vampiric essence
which has
allowed them to
survive without
their masters.
It is said that
a trace of the
original Jin
Family energy
still exists
within their
ethereal
signatures, and
this is the key
to taming the
Nix once again.

the size of a
small stone,
each part of the
phalanx
presenting both
this
reproductive
ability and an
innate ability
to communicate
and interlink
with all others
of its ‘family’,
the phalanx acts
much like an
army of marching
ants. It also
has the unique
ability to
interpret the
dominant
elementa of an
area and
implement said
dominant
elementa into
the creation of
new units,
allowing it to
create new
abilities based
upon blending
together these
attributes. It
is thought that
these creatures
have a swarm
mind which
coordinates
their attribute
stacking and
attacks.

Ptrax:
Extremely speedy
creatures,
possessing a
disjointed
exo-skeleton
which makes up
an effective
armoured hyde as
well as the
basis for a
number of their
melee offensive
abilities.
This pack
oriented species
are effective
hunters in any
climate or under
any conditions,
making them a
wide spread
species.
They have a
number of
organic magical
attributes
linked to shadow
abilities, but
have also been
known to exhibit
channeling
potential as
well.
Depending on the
organism, their
intelligence
level can vary
from that of a
small child to
that of an adult
human. The
race show little
intellectual
capacity but a
social system
that is far more
advanced that
that of humans.

Ragnus: A
six limbed
draconic race
(four legs, two
wings), which
prefer colder
climates.
These noble and
intelligent
beasts have been
known to work
closely with
humans in dire
times but
otherwise prefer
to be left
alone, to roam
their natural
habits and hunt.
Other than
adolescents who
tend to move in
packs, these
creatures lead a
predominantly
solitary life.
Mothers are
known to care
for their
offspring until
adolescence.
These creatures
have a high
predisposition
for cold magic,
but have full
channeling
capacity.

Ravener:
Land Sharks.
These beasts are
descendants of
an unknown
species of shark.
Being
natural
geo-
and hydro-mancers
these beasts
are
likely
to pop up
in any place where
life forms
gather. Know for
a voracious
appetite and the
ability to rip
preserved
chunks of ether
from the forms
of their prey,
these beasts,
while dangerous,
are usually just
hit and run
predators,
stealing ether
chunks and
leaving
the victim alive
for the next
ravenger to
pass.
However,
when a large
enough pack of
them gather,
they
are
incited to a
mating frenzy
and in that
frenzy they
become swarm
hunters,
not stopping
till they have
gorged
themselves full
of prey.
Whether
that be
local
creatures they
pull down in
their frenzy or
the bodies of
injured brethren,
in this state
their threat
level is
increased
dramatically.
Their bites also
have a tendency
to cause
ether
hemorrhaging.

Shii'gdre
- These are the
most intelligent
of the Drakes,
known also as
the Shadow
Drakes, with a
highly complex
but ultimately
insular society.
They were
created by one
of the founders
of the
Shadowsong clan
and live in
close proximity
to the place of
their original
creation. Shadow
drakes posses
some shadow
based biological
channeling
abilites (the
ability to call
forth an
armoured skin
obsidian skin
around
themselves being
the most often
noted) and a
vicious venom
which erodes a
victims
channeling
control. The
Drakes
them-selves are
quite able to
gain soul based
channeling
abilites, and
have been known
to drastically
alter their
original body
form in their
'powered' state
as a sign of
distinction when
they have thus
unlocked this
potential. The
drakes are
highly
individualist
within their
society but when
it comes to
defending it
from outside
they have proven
time and time
again ready
willing and able
to sacrifice
themselves whole
heartedly for
the 'people'.
The shadow
drakes basic
body colour is
an ashy grey,
tempered with
jet black
regions.

Shock Dragon:
A large
reptillian
species that had
become heavily
associated with
the other
draconic races.
Though
anatomically it
bears a huge
resemblance to
crocodillians,
the Shock Dragon
is very much
like dragons in
it's social
structure,
intelligence
level and
capacity for
intellectual
growth.
These creatures
tend to stick to
burrowing,
living in caves
near the surface
with their
prized
possessions
being stored
deeper in their
layer.
These creatures
have a number of
organic magical
abilities making
them predisposed
geomancy and
other forms of
earth
manipulation.
However, like
other channeling
species, the
abilities of
individuals
differ greatly.

Tek'na:
"Fallen Angels".
A demi humanoid
race, banished
from Alegens by
the Cleis de
Angelus when
they conquered
the area.
This noble race
retains a number
of avian
features, which
have merged well
with their more
human features
to create a very
distinctive
look.
Their
hair
naturally takes
on a very
feathery
appearance and
in the males
tends to cover a
great deal of
their face at
the sides and
under the chin.
Tek'na
possess
generally slim
and sleek
bodies, which
aid them in
flight.
Like the
Cleis de
Angelus, they
possess six
limbs, 2 arms, 2
legs and 2
wings, but their
backs and the
sides of their
arms and legs
tend to be
heavily
feathered.
As ethereal
channelers, the
powers of these
celestial beings
vary as much as
those of common
channelers,
though they tend
to stick to
light based
abilities.
Like the Vra'en,
they possess
abilities very
similar to the
Celestial Assist
ability of
Humans.
They possess
higher than
human level
intelligence
with a well
developed social
system.

Titan:
Essentially a
living wall of
intelligent
armour,
these creatures
live a slow
peaceful life.
This
is primarily
because their
bodies are
essentially the
epitome of a
mobile fortress.
These
creatures
often travel to
trees of life
within an area,
which they
migrate to and
browse upon.
These
elephantine
descendants are,
along side of
their own
natural armour,
usually
encrusted with
the crystal
residues which
collect from the
anti-entropic
activities of
the Trees. Along
with their
mighty physical
bulk the Titans
have developed a
psychic internet
as well, a
reflection of
their
elephantine
history.
The
Titans have
strong alliances
with the great
Juggernauts of
the seas due to
their shared use
of the global
psychic relay,
often themselves
acting as
overland
boosting
stations for
their undersea
brethren. Unlike
their undersea
brethren they
are fairly
talentless
psychics, merely
utilizing it as
a convenient way
to talk to other
Titans and
Juggernauts in
distant places.

Tenshi:
Humanoid life
forms, seem to
have evolved
from birds bread
in captivity,
developing a
humanoid
physiology and
demeanor much
like their
former masters.
These creatures
have since then
garnered a sense
of equality for
themselves
allowing them to
live amoung
humans in some
civilisation as
equals.
They do not
possess the
ability to
vocalise human
languages,
leaving their
only form of
communications
with humans are
psychic ability.
Their bodies are
completely
covered in
light, thin
feathers.
They possess
taloned feet,
and a relatively
errect body,
their wings are
usually wrapped
around them like
a cloak and
their face does
sport a
prominent beak.
A number of
clans have
developed hair
on their heads
to replace the
crown of
feathers that
other clans have
retained.

Ulfserk:
An evolution of
the canid family
the Ulfserk is a
lone hunter
unmistakable in
its
appearance which
is similar to
that of a giant
wolf with
extremely soft
dense fur which
absorbs impacts,
other energy,
and reduces
‘noise’ at both
a material and
ethereal level
giving it an
excellent form
of passive
stealth/armour.
But it is not
for this fur
which they are
best known.
Indeed they are
the very model
of the psycher’s
stubbornness,
able to go into
a berserker’s
fury when
confronted with
prey or foe
which presents a
credible threat.
These creatures
are indeed best
known for this
natural ability
to Overclock
themselves
driving their
threat level far
beyond what
their
conventional
abilities
suggest for a
short duration,
allowing them to
slaughter and
devour their
enemies, even
when said
enemies seem to
have the
advantage in
power.

Vra'en: A
bird species
worshipped by a
number of
smaller clans
for its powerful
connection to
the ether
stream.
These creatures
start out their
lives being
around human
size but can
grow as large as
30 ft tall and
possessing a
wing span of
over 100 metres.
Like channelers
of other
species, these
birds possess a
number of
abilities,
usually
corresponding to
the flow of
ether in the
particular part
of the world
which they
inhabit.
Their ability to
draw power
directly from
the ether stream
greatly
resembles the
Celestial Assist
ability
possessed by few
Terran
channelers.

Wisp:
These creatures
are
disproportionaly
connected
quantities or
ethereal and
astral energies,
where the astral
energy is in
greater
concentration.
This causes them
to have very
sort life spans
if they do not
feed on ethereal
structures.
Their unique
structure does
however allow
them to exhibit
a number of
properties
associated with
ghosts and
spectres, such
as the ability
to move through
ethereal objects
mostly
unaffected, as
well as the
ability to feed
on ethereal
structures in
contact with
their form,
without
necessarily
having the power
to decompile it
ethereal.

Wyvern:
Draconic species
possessing only
four limbs, two
legs and two
wings, these
tend to spend
most of their
lives in the air
and as such do
not tend to have
ground based
civilisations.
Using magical
technology, some
clans have been
known to
construct,
massive
airbourne
settlements to
facilitate the
needs of their
race, however
these creatures
usually just
congregate in
groups around a
single area in
the sky to form
clans.
They possess
human level
intelligence,
social and
intellectual
capabilities.

Yggdrasil:
"The World
Tree".
This species of
flora is a
gigantic mobile
nest, resembling
the great ash
tree of Norse
Mythology,
towers over
head, reaching
as high as 300 m
into the air.
The tree is a
massive
photoelectric
cell, possessing
a number of
further organic
magic abilities
that boost it's
primary
function,
allowing it to
store huge
amounts of
energy which can
then be used to
defend itself.
This energy
however is
usually used to
produce fruit,
which feeds the
primary
inhabitants of
the tree.
A single
Yggdrasil can
house over 3000
Archna.
