Experience
System:
|
|
Characters will
gain Experience
Points (Exp)
according to
actions, with
more difficult
actions
rewarding
greater amounts
of Exp.
Experience is
broken down into
6 skills which
determine the
overall
proficiency of a
character in all
of their
endeavors.
Exp will be
awarded to these
respective
skills in
accordance with
the action
performed.
Note: After
character
design, Exp
assignment is no
longer up to the
player.
In addition to
these skills, a
character's
overall level
increases with
Experience
Points
gained. Exp
necessary to
level increases
per level, with
greater amounts
of Exp be
awarded for the
defeat or
completion of
higher level
tasks.

Monetary System:
|
|
In R.E.Load, the
primary currency
is energy.
Ethereal and
Zeta energy can
be used to
activate most
forms of
technology or
used as payment
to other
entities within
the game.
Among the more
organized
communities,
energy is
refined into
dense and highly
formatted orbs
known as Cores.
Cores can be
decompiled and
stored, much
like add-ons in
a purely
energetic state.
Cores are the
most widely
accepted
currency in
R.E.Load and can
be used to by
most things. |
|
Inventory:
|
|
Generally
add-ons can be
utilised by
players to
enhance the
abilities of
their form.
When not in use,
these add-ons
are decompiled
and stored as
small discs in
the storage
compartment of a
players
Expansion suit,
as not to
encumber them.
As such, the
weight of an
add-on only
factors when it
is activated.
This allows
players to carry
as many add-ons
as their suit
can carry,
whether or not
they can
lift/wield them,
as long as they
are not
activated.
Expansion suits
can store up to
11 Expansions, 5
Hard Points and
15 Carried
Items.
Hashes, Glyphs
and Runes are
also stored
as
inventory,
though not
listed.
The number that
can be stored
depends on the
level of the
player, starting
at 15 at level 5
and increasing
by 3 every
level.
Carrying
capacity of
these techniques
almost always
exceeds the
actual number of
techniques
possessed by
players however
as they only
gain one new
technique per
level allowing
free slots to be
filled by
techniques from
quests or
trading.

Upgrading:
|
|
Upgrading is the
natural growth
process that all
channelers in
R.E.Load will
undergo,
although the
path taken is
determined by
the particular
channeler. You
will be awarded
an additional 2
system points (s.p.) every time
you gain one
level, to use at
your leisure.
In addition, at
level up
channelers have
the ability to
upgrade [not
completely
change] existing
Glyphs, Runes or
Hashes. They will
also gain one
completely new
ability per
level.

|
Travelling:
|
|
The game occurs
at locations
spanning the
entire globe, as such
travelling is a
very important
part of the
game. To
travel, players
simply need to
send in a
request
specifying their
location,
destination and
method of
transport.
Information on
transport
methods can be
viewed on the
Locations page. |
|
Police: |
|
These come in
all shapes and
sizes, with any
form of law
enforcement
agency falling
under the
umbrella of
"Police". Given the wide
variation of
cultures and
legal systems,
Police
can be anything,
ranging from
Frame equipped
meta-humans, Glyph
or Rune
enhanced
non-channelers
or even military
class channelers.
|
|
Battles:
|
|
The
circumstances
for battles are
very few. You
must be in the
same location as
your target and
you can only
ambush people
from different
teams. You must
send in a battle
request to the
webmaster,
stating you
name, your
target, the type
of battle, and a
strategy for the
attack. If you
manage to win
without damage,
you are awarded
a special bonus.

Cities
In New
Gaia,
with
channeler
now
making
up the
majority
of the
population,
the
ether
nullification
technology
used to
protect
Terran
cities
has been
integrated
with the
protective
magical
technology
of the
Oyan
cultures.
This
allows
all
channelers
to
function
in their
powered
up state
while in
cities,
but at a
greatly
reduced
output.
This
allows
channelers
to still
retain
flight,
teleportation
and
other
such
transport
abilities
without
being
able to
pose a
serious
threat
to
internal
security.
Residential
Areas
Restrictions
are less
in these
areas,
with
channelers
being
allowed
to
express
their
powers
freely
as long
as they
do not
cause
damage
to
property
and are
within
the
confines
of
traditional
laws.
Police
response
times in
these
areas
are
extremely
fast.
The
Field
There
are no
rules of
engagement
for the
field,
channelers
are free
to act
as they
wish.

Imprisonment:
|
|
This is a little
consequence that
prevents people
from attack
installation as
they please. An
imprisoned
person will
lose
one level for a
full 5 days of
imprisonment; if
a player is
broken out they
lose a fraction
of their Exp
with regard to
the number of
days spent in
prison.
