Above Board: Demai, Passive Action. (25/12/2401)

The massive Demai Fortress has transformed the landscape of Easter Island, changing the once quiet landmass into an entertainment mecha with the birth of the faction’s new sport sensation, Blitzkrieg.  Giving the Demai’s tendancy to dabble in anything that was even remotely money making, this served as no surprise to the general public that a military faction would be the founder of the new sport, but this didn’t at all suppress the amount of publicity that the sport received in its initial weeks.  The game would be seen on just about all of the major networks, and was actually starting to attract a few of the bigger names to its events, though its rules seemed to attract more thrill seekers and X-Game fanatics than serious combat channelers, who all opted for the more traditional combat sports.

Regardless of this, the game had still proved to be quite successful, facilitating the entertainment of its fans and more importantly serving very well as the front-end for the Demai’s more intriguing projects.  It had been a big rumor that the game seemed to be a testing ground for something, one that would aptly justified by the extremely customised technology which it entailed, and which the Demai provided free of cost to all applying teams, but despite the prevalence of the rumor, no one seemed to be able to actually prove anything that would suggest that this was the case.  On top of that, the fact that the Demai seemed to be operating completely above board also seemed to raise the eyebrows of the other military factions.

Despite their concerns, or in some cases, paranoia, the project came off without a single hitch, bringing a smile to the face of Rayad Demar as he watched the profits roll on in.

Outcome: The Demai have constructed a new facility Easter Island to house the Blitzkrieg sensation as well as their new Enhancer Mass Production Project.
