Potential Threat to Humanity: Rogue, Passive Action. (25/12/2401)

The Rogue Special Forces had managed to organise an extremely thorough clean-up after the joint faction attempt at the Gladiator quest.  In the past few weeks, under the supervision of K-Four, the elite tactical squadron of the Rogues, they had managed to organise a comprehensive quarantine of the facility, before acquiring permission from the UN to utilise a Tactical Ethereal Decimation Bomb in an attempt to get rid of any remaining traces of the super evolved strain of the Maverick virus.  With Roun and Hyaku volunteering their particular energy types in the coding of the bomb, and the Rogue scientists having worked out the AI needed to insure that the blast did not yield too high a fallout factor, it would only take about 4 weeks for the actual project to be completed.

All their hard work would come to affront on Christmas day, when the Rogue carrier made a final sweep to ensure that the quarantine had been maintained and released the T.E.D. Bomb.  The attack would obliterate most of the purely ethereal constructs in the area and disrupt the ether stream around the area considerably, making channelling in the area a difficult task for months to come.  However, due to the design of the bomb and the extremely even distribution of the energy, the Rogues ensured that a rift event was avoided as a direct result of their project.

Once this was complete, the faction would open talks with the scientist group who had founded the Gladiator quest, but found them very unwilling to actually share their data with the faction.  The Rogues offer to hire the scientists would be turned down as the research team sought to use their findings to further their own goals rather than that of a single faction.  Kyasho Mirakama would be forced to keep an eye on this group of benefactors, being forced to acknowledge the potential threat that they posed were they to utilise their findings for the wrong cause.

Outcome: The Rogues have cleaned up the situation in Brazil and erased all traces of Maverick from that area.  Unfortunately, channelers are experiencing reduced ethereal capacity in the area previously occupied by the quest.
