Hide and Seek: Kyo searches for a mysterious channeler (19-02-2403)

Tiana’s info had been somewhat confusion to the young Blitzkrieg player, causing him to believe that his target was in Vestele before he actually realised that he would have to venture into the Bloodlands to track down his evasive target.  For this reason he realised that his short stay in the massive, bustling, commercial mecha wasn’t time well spent outside of actually allowing him to get his hardpoints upgraded.  That and it allowed him a chance to talk to the locals about the surrounding wild-lands.   Unfortunately for Kyo, not even information in Vestele was free, so he was not able to extract anything too interesting from those that he spoke to, but he did manage to find out a bit about his target.

As was expected for a stealth user hiding out from the Demai, his opponent was a shifty and secretive character, coming and going unnoticed from the city when possible and only staying long enough to pick up supplies before he headed back out into the Bloodlands to continue whatever it was that he did out there.   This made things infinitely more difficult, Kyo thought, the plan was to get his target to come to him by being overly noticeable; but if his target barely stayed long enough to be noticed, he was not sure how much information he would be picking up about Kyo’s search for him.  It was only then that Kyo thought that even if his target knew about his search for him, there was still a chance that he would not attack him, but instead go deeper into hiding, making his job a lot harder.  The Errant growled now, this was definitely going to be a task; he would actually have to go hunting.

Kyo sighed lightly, the output of his True Sight was way too low to actually pierce any decent stealth techniques, and even if he had his ethereal scanners equipped, they were still too low a class to be of any actual assistance.  This meant that he would be wondering around in the Bloodlands blindly, hoping to get lucky.  Kyo’s sigh grew now as he realised just how much of a sitting duck he would be in that state, he could only be thankful that he was extremely resilient and didn’t have to worry about single hit reversions.

As he made his way into the Bloodlands, Kyo wondered around and searched for his target to no avail.  As he continued to wonder, his roaming path would take him across a most unpleasant creature.  At first, Kyo didn’t even notice the creature apart from the mildly offensive smell which it emitted, but as he came closer and closer, he realised that the creature’s natural aura became more and more offensive.  Even his True Sight seemed affected by the disgusting effects of the creature’s energy, giving Kyo the first experience of actually feeling sick in while powered up.   The sensation was rather unique, albeit ultimately unpleasant, Kyo would be forced to activate his X-3 and quickly leave the area to prevent himself from throwing up.

Kyo would continue to search but to no avail before he was eventually forced to call off the search as night rolled in.  He would need a better strategy for locating his target the next time he came out.
