Actively Searching: Kyo searches for target in Bloodlands (10-03-2403)

Before leaving Vestele once again, Kyo decided to actually collect some useful supplies.  Using his Data Comm. he downloaded a map of the area, and through further bribery he persuaded the locals to give him a quick rundown the local wildlife, as well as the dos and don’ts about surviving the Bloodlands.  Once this was done he set off on his way, checking each location which he had deemed as a place of interest and writing them off as the yielded no results.  Once this was done, he would be left to check the only two real places of interest in Hell outside of the commercial city; Redrocke and the Portal in the Bloodlands themselves.  His investigation of Redrocke seemed fruitless, leading Kyo now to make his way into the bloodlands as he attempted to locate his opponent.

As he made his way deep into the odd realm, Kyo could begin to feel as ether itself shifted and warped within the area, with the odd bloodlike energy seeming to possess the ability to corrupt and warp ether on a level even more fundamental than dimensionally.  For this reason, Kyo’s truesight was going crazy, registering all kinds of bizarre energy forms that truthfully made no sense at all.  This made it nigh impossible for Kyo to make any sense of what was going on in his environment, furthermore track his intended target, he would simply need to go to the portal fabled to lead to the Demonic Realm and hope for the best.

As he approached the area, he realised that the local distortions in the area were getting stronger and stronger, so much so that he actually found himself being forced to struggle to maintain his powered up state.  This caused the massive Errant to smirk however as he was now certain that if he was having such a problem, that his target should be as well, making it easy to actually see him.  As he made his way towards the portal, he realised that his theory was confirmed, as he noticed a small framed, blue haired channeler sitting with a small device which appeared to be collecting readings of some sort.  Kyo wasted no time powering up his Child of Gaia now and light dashing towards his target.  This instantly alerted the stealth based channeler to his presence forcing the channeler to power up to full, grab the device and activate his stealth, fading into the already chaotic environment while Kyo’s Power Wave expanded and hit nothing but air.  Kyo noted this as he attempted to get a fix on his opponent by monitoring the disturbances in the air and vibrations moving through the ground.  It was only now that he realised why his task would be so difficult, with the distortions in the area having everything so disrupted, it made any form of scanning a huge chore.  Kyo cursed loudly now as he pulled out the phosphorous pellets that he had bought and began throwing them in the direction them seemed most likely for his opponent to be in.  As he did this, he actually began to sense disturbances now, allowing him to continue to throw his pellets until he finally hit something.

Unfortunately for the aspiring Demai Operative, his target’s stealth easily masked the light being emitted by the paint, but at least Kyo had an idea of where he was, allowing the channel to mount his X-3 and attempt to close the distance between him and his target.  This forces his opponent to move quickly to evade him, creating further distortions for Kyo to track.  Kyo would eventually close the distance and dive off of his board to tackle the considerably smaller channeler and pin him to the ground before allowing his Burnout X, Hellbound, Eternal Slumber and Black Death go to work on his opponent’s form.  His opponent would squirm uncontrollably as the devastating effects of these techniques went to work on his form, doing everything from damage dealing to consuming his stamina in the small time that Kyo actually managed to subdue him.  This was before the  small channeler powered up his Omega Drive and exploded with energy, launching Kyo clear off of him.  Luckily for Kyo, he had managed to Perfect Guard the end of the attack, allowing him to dissipate some of that damage. Unfortunately for the Errant however, it seemed as though he had truly pissed his target off.  Kyo wasted no time powering up his Omega Drive as well and storming the incoming hail of attacks from his opponent as he tried to close the distance.  This would be to much avail however as his opponent vanished and appeared some distance away.  A loud scoff would be heard as Kyo light dashed to close the distance once more, only to be blasted with a massive surge of energy as he was reforming.  This dealt huge damage to Kyo’s form, forcing him to Perfect Guard the follow up attack and then grab his opponent once more.  This would allow Kyo to plant his opponent in the ground and once again go to work on his form with his dastardly techniques.  Burnout in particular would prove to be rather effective, temporarily causing all of the stealthy channeler’s technique s to activate, allowing Kyo to pound on him while he worried about correcting his power drain.

This game of ground and pound would continue for some time but with Kyo being so hard to damage and so much harder to move in his Omega Drive, the drawn on battle would soon come to a close.  Kyo would grin broadly as he loaded his target onto his X-3 and made his way back towards Vestele, where he would prepare to travel to Tel Aviv.

Outcome: Kyo has passed his Entrance Exam, all that is left to do is to deliver the thief and the device back to the Demai.
