Snooping: Paco and Yasmin investigate Serek (06/07/2403)

While waiting for the other members of the Rogue Special Forces to arrive, Paco and Yasmin decided to do some recon work on the task which they had been assigned by the De’rak clan in the city.  It seemed that as of late, a small group from the Odu clan, a group of demi-reptillians had been making nuisances of themselves with the Dragon controlled city.  Usually, the De’raks would have delt with the matter with strict force, but with the Rogues seeking jurisdiction in their territory, they had allowed these ‘global police officers’ to deal with the matter in their own way.

With this arrange, Paco and Yasmin would take charge of the operation, gathering the initial intelligence on their targets before any kind of strike was arranged.   The two channelers would start out by attempting to identify their targets based on their physical descriptions.  This would require the interviewing of a number of De’raks who had actually seen the Odu clans men, a task that turned out to be like pulling teeth for the two humans.  Despite the time which it took however, and with the aid of Yasmin’s dynamic morphing the two were able to relatively specific descriptions of each member of the six man group.  Once this was done, they would do some investigation into the locations which had been vandalised.

The two Rogues would soon realise that the locations were rather diverse, having no geographical or topographical similarities, but they did notice that each area seemed to be a commercial hub.  Further investigation would show that the commercial entities which operated out of these areas tended to be salemen of rather common commodities however, from clothes and cloths to dinnerware and souvenirs.  Paco paused and pondered now, being unable to draw a connection or to even see why these vandals would take interests in such unimportant items.

His next plan would be to seek out an audience with the Odu clan, but with most of their members currently in Morocco, some distance to the north, he and Yasmin would be unable to do so.  This made it harder to gauge the relationship between the Odu and the De’rak clan of Serek, something which he would need to find out before he could properly assess the situation.

Failing this, Paco and Yasmin now sought to look into the types of abilities exhibited by their targets.  From what they would learn, there were three melee ‘bruisers’ in the group, two of which appeared to be of a Crocodilian persuasion while the other seemed most closely related to a komodo dragon.  With them were two ranged channelers of indiscernable decent and a final stealth based scout who resembled an iguana.  All they would learn other than this basic information was that one of the two ranged channelers had an affinity for water.  Paco would sigh, the information was simply not forthcoming.

With this done, Paco and Yasmin would divide up their subordinates and scour the city, attempting to be present at another one of their attacks, something which they hoped would give them the opportunity to observe their targets in action and gather enough intel on them to make their strike once the others arrived, considerably easier.  Their search would take almost the entire day without success, leaving the Rogue team rather tired, more so mentally than physically.  However, their chance would come later that night.  It would be Paco that would stumble across the disturbance, more than halfway through the entire ordeal.  He would than quickly contact Yasmin, who would be forced to engage her Cross morph in an attempt to reach the area before the commotion was actually over.  It would take her some time to cover the distance, but she would manage to arrive in time.  Unfortunately, her arrival would alert their scout, who quickly notified the others, causing them finish up their lawlessness and leave the area quickly.

Outcome: The Rogue duo were unable to acquire any useable combat data on their targets.
