Proper Use of Resources: Jubei continues his investigation of the power-user menace (08/09/2403)

After the shocking news which Jubei extracted from his last interrogation, he had to verify that what he had learned was not simply something that his target had given up in order to set him on a wild goose chase.  Afterall, Jubei was a very busy man and he had no time for a Snipe Hunt.  With this in mind, he would call in a number of personal and Xelot contacts in order to verify the information.  He would call in everyone from the French and English politicians that he believed that he could trust, to the Hacker that Jubei worked so closely with.  He would even send out an encrypted message to the Xelot spy within the power user ranks to see if he had heard anything.

Unfortunately, all of his sources who knew anything that was going on, would verify that what he had learned was indeed true.  They would all provide bits and pieces of information, but they would for the most part simply confirm what he already knew.  For now however, Teknov’s plans would have to be put on the back burner as the ambitious Xelot combined the information that he had gathered in an attempt to narrow down the number of cities on the Haiman line and find the most likely target or targets.  This would require extensive information gathering and then intensive information processesing, a task that was split between Jubei’s personal computational equipment and the Xelot mainframe as he tried his best to compile all of the information from his sources, while using his own intuition and logical reason as he tried his best to formulate a final target.

Unfortunately, even with all of that computational power, he would not be able to narrow it down to a single city, but he instead came up with two cities.  Interestingly enough, France was not one of them, instead, the power users seemed more likely to Valhallard or Themiscrya.  Jubei’s eyes widened at the conclusion, thinking the power-users rather bold to target Oyan run cities rather than Terran run ones, but he had to admit that they were the choices that people would least expect.

With a sigh, he would begin to formulate a strategy, but first, he would need to assemble two teams, each able to stop this impending threat.
