Further Recon: Thales does more reconnaissance (15/09/2403)
Today the young kitsune and her subordinate would be attempting to map the facility’s internal structure utilising an unique wireless transmitter and Thanatos’ Astral Abilities. Thales had paid good money to have the wireless transmitter constructed so that she could use it for this mission, but she would soon realise that much like the Demai facility in Tel Aviv, other military installations proved to be very hard to map internally. Luckily however, thanks to the brilliant minds of the Demai Research and Development team, her transmitter was build with the same parts as the military grade reconnaissance scanners, which allowed them to carry out their functions discretely without drawing any attention to Thales or her team.
Thanatos would have similar problems as he was unable to pick up dense enough astral concentrations to properly assess much else other than the number of personnel stationed at the facility, which numbered at around the full complement of 120 troops for the Headquarter class facility. With this information in hand, Thales would then attempt to locate potential targets to be abducted and replaced by members of the Field Team. This would require a lengthily stake out time but she would eventually come upon two reasonable targets.
The first would be the more easy of the targets, being the supervisor of the facility. This man tended to travel with an armed guard of two to four heavily augmented power users, each capable of taking on a level thirty channeler. Despite this however, he appeared to be so secure in his routine as a result of his guard that he took the same path to and from work every day. Assuming that they could neutralise this man and his team, they might have a chance of replacing them, but actually fooling the military grade scanners which persons were subjected to on arrival seemed to be a task that was nigh insurmountable. At best, this could be used to get the field team up to and onto the premises before they were discovered, but this method was certainly not going to allow them into the facility unnoticed.
The second would be more difficult but also more rewarding. The delivery team consisted of four to six heavily enhanced power users, who travelled in a customised transport hovercraft. However, due to the number of deliveries that these men performed, they were not subjected to the lengthily scanning routines that other members of the facility were forced to take. This meant that as long as the Field Team could dispatch and replace this group, they would just need to look the part to make it into the facility. This would allow them into the facility unnoticed, but they would still need to find a way to quietly acquire their target and make it out alive.
Thales pondered this briefly before she called it a day, she would need to contact her superiors and revise her plan.
