Routine Search: Jubei and Crydus do initial recon on Progression Shrine (25/07/2403)

Much to the dismay of the Mercenary team in Timeless, it seemed that their Xelot rivals had managed to locate the shrine, which as many had believed, could only be accessed from the heavily guarded pit which housed the legendary dragon “The Eldest” and the massive Moai head which constituted the last piece of the puzzled.  The Shrine existed in an artificial, external timeline, which was generated by the powerful Ki amplification effects of the Moai stationed in the area.  It was for this reason that the Temporal Flux in the area needed to be corrected before the Shrine could be accessed.

This alternate timeline could only be reached via a unique console interface which the massive Moai head facilitated.  Unfortunately for Jubei, with Timeless being in unallied territory, the Xelots did not wish to risk the deployment of a large team of scientists or even Crusaders, but would instead be forced to rely on the technical expertise of Crydus and Jubei for the initial reconnaissance of the facility before they could deploy a large number of Field Operatives to actually enter the shrine and retrieve the artefacts.

With this in mind, Jubei and Crydus would scope out the facility, taking care not to actually attempt to breach its defensive structures.  They would do their best to map out the facility and get an idea of its external features, size, shape and other important dimensions.  Jubei would then test the temporal effects which the Shrine emitted defensively, by throwing rocks at the facility and attempted to enter it using his summons or Crydus’ Terra Spikes.  They would both quickly realise that the facility’s primary offensive weapon was a powerful temporal shattering effect, which literally attempted to destroy the timeline in a given area to erase an object from existence.  However Temporal stasis, rapid entropy due to Temporal Acceleration and even repulsion due to Temporal Reversal could be facilitated in this realm due to the comparatively low power of this artificial time stream.  This Shrine would no doubt be a dangerous place, one which would force them to tread carefully.  The two would run their investigations for quite some time before returning from the pocket dimension some time later.  They would relay their findings to the Xelot High Command and await reinforcements.
