Investigating Suzaku: Fyst scans Suzaku during dormant phase (25/08/2403)

Fyst had done his research well, collecting information on Suzaku’s activity cycle as well as information on the local wildlife and their activity levels.  Oddly enough, with this information, he still decided to have himself teleported to the area.  The powerful ethereal discharge associated with this teleportation, especially in close proximity to the rather large ethereal signature given off by Suzaku while in his egg form, was more than enough to attract a mass of creatures to the area, drawing a great deal of attention to Fyst and his small team.  So much so that upon arrival the team would be ganked considerably.  A single tail strike from one of the local Kazerns would be enough to dispatch Mirage in a single blow, forcing Fyst to quickly retrieve his user form and activate his natural stealth and that of the Mercenary combat suit to retreat from the area, while Tiny and his Ptera did the same.

Fyst would curse under his breath at the gross miscalculation, finding a good hiding spot and waiting until the feeding frenzy induced by his arrival died down.  The group would lose an entire day of scanning, and with Mirage dispatched, Fyst would have no scout to keep an eye out for predators in the future, making his job far more difficult now.

The very next day, Mirage would be ported out of the area to avoid him being killed, while the rest of Fyst’s team returned to the location of Suzaku’s egg form, under stealth and began their low output scans as they did their best to avoid drawing attention to themselves while they acquired the information.  This would not be an easy task, especially with the constant passes of Kazern’s who seemed to specialise in scanning as a primary ability, while their pseudo stealth and quick kills just supplemented their limited omniscience.

The occasional attack from these creatures, would result in damage to Fyst’s team and a forced retreated, avoiding combat to prevent their pursuit by other more dangerous predators, making for an alround frustrating time in the area.

Luckily however, Fyst would avoid reversion and Tiny would also avoid being dispatched, leaving the destruction of his Ptera as the only other casualty other than Mirage’s premature reversion before their expedition was up and Fyst returned to Fort David via teleporter.  Luckily, Fyst would get the data off of the unit before their return, ensuring that little was lost in its destruction apart from the Cores that it required to purchase the unit.

Fyst would arrive in Fort David with the same powerful ethereal discharge just hours before Suzaku emerged again, making his way to the Research and Development department to analyse the data which he received.

Outcome: Fyst has made a rather comprehensive scan of Suzaku’s code while in egg form, providing a useful informational base upon which further research can be carried out.  It will now be up to either Fyst or the Research and Development team to sort and catalogue the data, then put it to use in an actual project.
