Good Old Fashion Ambush: Brian ambushes Serai (20-02-2403)
After having been couped up with the Xei for so long, Brian was eager for battle, and more specifically, to test his new Boss form. Zeer and Kerad were also arching for a battle, and Brian knew just where they could have one. The young Gestalt homed in on his target’s location now, powering his form up to maximum before Zeer and Kerad circled around to flank their target. Once everyone was in place, Brian utilised his Restoration Point, saving a copy of his form before he moved in.
His target, Serai, had been training with his master Sun Lee, who actually sensed the attack from some distance away, but decided to let it play out and see just how friendly this ambush would be. As Brian closed in now and entered Serai’s sensory range, Serai would look towards his master, who just nodded faintly, allowing the Death Dragon to power up his form to maximum, ready to be engaged.
Brian would laugh lightly as his opponent’s energies exploded and shook the environment theatrically, allowing Serai to launch a perfectly executed drunken palm strike. Brian easily dodged this attack however, spinning without losing momentum to deliver his Omega Strike, piercing Serai’s defences and scoring a critical blow as the opening hit. Serai stumbled back now as the damage registered, allowing Brian to attempt to follow up with his compilation before Serai exploded the entire area with energy, allowing his Chuuki-Hensa in particular to go to work destroying Brian’s own guards now. Brian took the attack fully at first, before he could Dynamic Guard the rest, and use Angle to purge what now infected him.
On the otherside, Zeer and Kerad had been sneaking up on Brad Fury, but this would be a rather unfair match up, so Sun Lee decided to give the two a better challenger, intercepting their stealth approach and formally challenging the two Delgrangers. They would both accept and waste no time engaging the martial arts master.
Back between Brian and Serai, Serai quickly began going to work oppressively attacking Brian, using his speed to his advantage, forcing Brian to put his Combat Mastery and Combat Instinct to work. The young Gestalt would quickly dodge and parry most of Serai’s attacks, even as he used his temporal control in an attempt to gain an upper hand. As he powered up his Zogenachi now, Brian used Blackout and vanished, forcing Serai to redirect power to Crimson Eyes to locate his opponent who had made his way behind his opponent and was about to deliver another critical strike. Serai would parry this strike partially this time, and just in time, allowing Brian to only score a glancing blow off his side before Serai would follow up with that Zogenachi that he had been wanting to his Brian with. The attack was devastatingly powerful, especially with Brian’s defense totally corroded by now, sending Brian reeling back before Serai followed up with his Colossal Force. As Serai slid forward and grabbed his opponent, Brian activated his Dynamic Guard, shielding the impact as he was thrown into the ground and the energy around him exploded, shaving off most of the damage before he exploded with his own UV wave, temporarily blinding Serai. This gave him the time to put his opponent in a powerful armbar, before concentrating his energy with angle to break Serai’s arm. Another explosion of energy would send him flying away now, as Serai’s arm bent off in an odd direction, causing Brian to smirk as he plotted his next attack.
Serai now whipped out his Highest Grade, smoking up the blunt and blowing the smoke into the environment, allowing it to quickly difuse through his area of influence as Brian once again closed the distance. Serai would dodge to the left as Brian’s attack moved to the right, the hallucinogenic effects of his smoke now taking their toll, preventing Brian from properly attacking him, allowing Serai now to gain the upper hand. Brian would not even notice as Serai vanished, allowing him to score cleanly with his Finish Dragon, exploding the energy off of the punch and sending Brian flying away, skating across the ground and reversion crept over him. Brian would scoff loudly now, utilising his Restoration Point to bring himself back to full health, much to Serai’s amazement.
“What de...” Serai cursed as Brian powered into his Omega Drive.
Quickly he vanished from sight as the shadow affinity of his Omega Drive masked his movements, allowing him to appear in front of Serai undetected by his Crimson Eye and score with a fully charged, Omega Angle Strike. With Brian’s Exceed Limiter also reaching its maximum charge and his force fully boosted, the attack would obliterate Serai’s defense, dealing massive damage and stunning the Death Dragon. A quick follow up punch would be more than enough to revert his target, knocking him clear out of his powered up state. Brian would stop the attack there, conserving the rest of his energy reserve as he turned his attention to Sun Lee now. Attacking him was never part of the plan, and though Brian could tell that Sun Lee had no interest in killing Zeer or Kerad, he could see that he would definitely revert the two player class Delgrangers if the battle continued. Brian would give the signal to call the attack off, causing the two Delgrangers to retreat slightly as Sun Lee stopped and bowed to them.
Brian too would bow to the master for not interfering in the fight between him and Serai, turning to an unconscious Serai with an arrogant smirk. “You claimed to be a Dragon of Death. I have slain you, and so I claim your title as well as the title Dragon Slayer.”
This amused Sun Lee greatly as he moved over to pick up his student off the ground, before he turned to Brian. “You have slain but a young dragon, and the toll which that task has taken on you was quite great. If you really wish to truly earn that title, I await your challenge.” Sun Lee replied respectfully, causing Brian to smirk at the challenge.
“I may just take you up on that.” Was all he said as he rushed back off to his F-25.
