Martial Prowess and Vampires: Brian’s team duels Sun Lee while Rayven feeds
(09-03-2403)
Brain, L’Qatu and the Delgrangers came upon Sun Lee’s location to find the
expert martial artist stretching in preparation for their match.
“I’ll face you another day for the
title. My team didn’t want to pass up a duel with you.”
Brian stated.
“Very well.” Sun Lee replied. “However before the match begins we should
determine the intentions of our guest.” Sun continued before powering up his
form and prompting his opponents to do the same as they looked around.
Immediately they picked up the presence of a channeler who peaked out from
behind a large tree some distance away. “Hiii!! I’m Rayven.” The young woman
announced as she came skipping up to the group.
L’Qatu and Brian in particular could not help but notice that she was
very cute and seemed to be
rather distracted by her presence due to her
Kawaii!!. L’Qatu then became visibly
confused as he caught sight of her Bunny. Sun shook his head as he
sensed just what she was up to and the Delgrangers were likewise aware of the
situation due their natural psychic abilities.
“Before this devolves into a three way brawl I suggest that Rayven be allowed to
attend to her business with your friend while we have our match.” Sun spoke to
Brian.
“I
really wanted to show you the Bastard Blitz… but I suppose we can do that
another time.” Brian stated somewhat disappointed. The four then moved off
leaving L’Qatu to deal with the newcomer.
“You!! Bones! My dog is hungry and you are going to feed her.” Rayven stated as
she summoned Ysera and activated her Siren Song modifier to keep her intended
victim from resisting. The huge Hellhound appeared and bit the Bunny that L’Qatu
was staring at which sent the beast and her Summoner into a frenzy. Rayven
activated her Death Rain which began to destroy L’Qatu’s psychic defences and he
could do nothing but be a victim as the huge beast dug its claws into a number
of the Morpher’s many moving body parts. Rayven activated her Slurp modifier and
the two vampric beings began to feed on the helpless L’Qatu.
Sun Lee took up his Dragon stance while a good distance away Brian fully powered
up and created a Restore Point. The Delgrangers began to circle their opponent
as Brian motioned for Sun to bring the fight to him. The Valiant dashed forward
to land a punch to Brian’s sternum, his speed surprising the Gestalt who felt
confident that he could dodge his first attack. If not for the pain it may have
also occurred to Brian that the blow seemed to land before the Legendary Dragon
himself actually reached him. As Brian began the first step in his backwards
stumble he was swept of his feet and then slammed into the ground by a Fajin axe
kick, again to his sternum.
While Brian was stunned, Zeer launched a fire breath projectile which Sun easily
dodged, only to have to flip over another blast from Kerad. The Delgrangers
launched a series of these blasts to keep the agile Dragon occupied while Brian
came to his senses.
As
Brain got his feet, the Legendary Dragon vanished and appeared behind Zeer to
land an Overdriven fracturing kick to the canine’s back leg. Sun intercepted
Zeer’s retaliatory bite with a hook kick, his Dragon Breath launching the
creature away. Brian emitted a concussive UV blast which also temporarily
blinded the martial artist as well as knocked him back, and he quickly closed
the distance between them followed by Kerad to deliver an Omega Strike uppercut.
Even without sight, the Dragon Rage boosted Sun stepped back to evade the rising
punch, then shifted his feet to avoid Kerad’s bite intended for his ankle. Using
Angle to boost his speed, Brian managed to launch a combo of punches which the
Combat Savant easily parried and countered. The Gestalt’s active Dynamic
Guarding saved him from the full brunt of the swift powerful counter attacks.
Back at the feeding frenzy, Rayven’s control over her victim had started to
fade. A weakened L’Qatu activated his Cavorting Bones and slipped out of Ysera’s
grasp. A number of flying swords would impact some of the moving fragments that
made up L’Qatu’s form, further weakening him and providing more sustenance for
his attacker. A blast of Fire and Brimstone would then engulf the floating parts
in flames. The burning Morpher activated his Shtaeta and dashed towards Rayven.
The monstrous Hellhound would intercept his attack, the sharpened body parts
impacting the beast’s Plated Hide harmlessly. Not even the force from the
Morpher’s Singularity modifier could move the creature which outweighed both him
and Rayven by far.
L’Qatu grew desperate as his outputs
steadily decreased and his stamina dwindled far quicker than it should. Even his
ability to focus was compromised. Activating his Omega Drive he dumped all the
energy into his Force and activated his Kaldra Kai to become a storm of
projectiles which quickly closed the distance between him and Rayven, bombarding
her with the myriad of solid parts that comprised his bizarre form.
The Summoner’s Sable Coat reduced some of the damage before she disappeared to
appear behind Ysera. “This isn’t fun anymore. Time to die now bone man.” Rayven
stated with a wide grin as she activated Lost Souls. Her victim found some of
his body parts being pulled into a place of which he was unfamiliar as the ether
of which they were made simply vanished. Ysera delighted in munching down the
other parts of his body while Rayven laughed as more and more of his energy was
drained… until there was nothing left. L’Qatu simply dissipated into the ether
and his unconscious user form appeared a good distance away.
Brian had been forced to utilize his Restoration Point to restore his form to
full health, the process taking a toll on his stamina. His modifiers had done
their fair share of damage to Sun’s form before the Valiant’s Dragon Explosion
activated to blast the destructive energies from his form and to also blast his
opponents away.
Sun wasted no time advancing on the Angle boosted Brian who met his intended
palm strike to the face with a fist. Sun closed his hand on the Gestalt’s fist
who stepped into him to deliver a hook punch. The Legendary Dragon coiled his
arm around Brian’s to trap it, his Dragon Explosion negating the corrupting and
destablising energies of which he was in contact. His leg rose into a kick which
his opponent instinctively
anticipated, reinforced his form with Angle and Dynamic Guarded while making no
attempt mechanically guard. The scrapper known as Trouble took the kick to face
but captured Sun’s leg before he could withdraw it. Sun smiled as he realised he
played right into his young opponent’s hands just before Kerad swept him off his
single supporting leg, Zeer blasted him in the back with a burning attack and a
massively strength boosted Brian slammed him into the ground.
Brian’s stomp intended for Sun’s knee joint was interrupted as he and his
companions were blasted away. Sun activated his Elevated Dragon to boost his
speed to a ridiculous level and intercepted a still airborne Zeer with a hook
kick to dispatch him. Before Kerad knew it he had been hit two times and was
likewise dispatched, not even actually registering the damage before he was
reverted. Brian’s eyes opened wide as both assaults appeared to happen at the
same with multiple Sun Lee’s involved and further he could still see Sun Lee
lying in the small crater where he had planted him.
“What th…?” Brian started before quickly returning his focus to trying to remain
unreverted. The Gestalt
then
activated
his Omega Drive and Blackout, disappearing from sight. Sun Lee took up his
Dragon stance and closed his eyes, staying perfectly still as his
attunement to his surroundings enabled
him to track his stealthed opponent. Brian would appear behind the Dragon, his
energies skyrocketing as he delivered a downward smash aimed at the base of
Sun’s neck. His incredible blow would be sidestepped and Sun Lee turned to face
him. Brian would now hear Sun’s voice in the distance and he followed a trail of
slowly walking Sun’s to the source of the voice. Then another Sun appeared next
to him prompting Brian to push his defensive abilities to max.
The Gestalt would feel chunks being torn and forcefully ejected from his form as
a now Omega Driven Sun unleashed the Dragon. In the distance Sun’s seemingly
multiplied voice could be heard as Brian was torn apart.
“You should be pleased young one. For you have been the first to face the
Dragon’s Claws.”
Brian then burst into code and his opponent deactivated his Special.
Interestingly enough the other Sun
Lee’s could still be seen as they finally caught up to the one and only
Legendary Dragon.
