Mirror Match: Fyst Duel’s Haezar (07-04-2403)
Fyst Ruess was quite the sight as he made his way through Merricent on his way to meet up with Roun Itami and his Rogue Special Forces unit. From Roun’s understanding, the massive framed channeler had come across his subordinate Haezar while perusing the networks, and had since then decided that the two channeler would need to meet face to face. What made Roun only more confused was the fact that Haezar seemed to share the same sentiment.
As Fyst made his way to the pre-arranged meeting spot, a small clearing on the outskirts of a residential area, he would find the five man team already awaiting his arrival. Roun and Daito would be found resting against the Hummer V-Tech that Roun had borrowed from the facility, while Raena sat quietly on the hood. Nicola would be standing next to Haezar, who would occupy the spot at the front of the group and be the first to meet with Fyst.
The two channelers nodded as the greeted each other, actually being able to actually look each other in the eyes as they were almost identical in height, a fact that was only made more bizarre by the fact that they were literally identical in terms of weight. The two massive channelers would stand there with locked gazes momentarily before they both powered up their forms to max. This caused Tiny, the small crystal mimic that Fyst had travelled with to power up to max as well and take on the form of Fyst, drawing great amusement from Roun’s team as the Itami vanished to restain the small creature and prevent it from interfering in the impromptu duel of Fyst and Haezar.
Fyst’s first strike would be quickly guarded by an X-block from Haezar, whose Kinetic Vacuum managed to suck up most of the damage from the attack near instantaneously. Fyst found it interesting that due to his particular form of defense, it attacks did not reverberate as much ‘noise’ as he would have preferred, but it still generated enough for Fyst’s needs. Another two follow up strikes would be launched, allowing Haezar to guard them both as well before Fyst now collapsed all of the ethereal vibrations into a single wave and amplified it to launch a powerful attack, that sent Haezar skating back a few metres even as he guarded the attack. This impressed the young Morpher as he shook his hands now from the pain and charged in after Fyst. His first attack, boosted by his Static Core would be easily evaded by the far more mobile Fyst, who would then dodge under a follow up hook punch to deliver a double palm strike to Haezar, causing him to keel over. Fyst would then clasp his hands and deliver a double axe handle, which would inevitably be deflected by Haezar’s Dynamic Guard, reversing Fyst’s movements before Haezar replied with a scorching uppercut courtesy of his Thermal Core.
Luckily for Fyst, the ethereal waves of the attack would crash on his Reef, allowing him to quickly regain his footing and shift away from his opponent before emitting a powerful ultrasound to liquefy the ground beneath Haezar. This caused Haezar to quickly sink into the makeshift quicksand, as Fyst moved his hands in a circular motion before pressing his hands downwards quickly and returning the ground to a solid with a high frequency screech. Haezar would watch as Fyst took to the air now, raising his massive arms over his head before descending with a powerful elbow strike to Haezar’s head. As he descended however, he would note as Haezar’s pit exploded upwards, making it no surprise when the might Morpher counter Fyst’s descending elbow with a powerful rising forearm block, cancelling his momentum before launching a series of Vulcan punches at Fyst’s gut. Fyst would easily guard the attacks, marvelling at the fact that Haezar’s brute strength managed to keep him suspended in the air during the exchange before his Static and Thermal Cores combined to deliver a powerful plasma blow at Fyst. Once again Fyst would concentrate the ethereal waves, this time to form a near solid shield of sound between him and Haezar. Haezar’s attack would easily shatter the sonic shield, but not with enough power to deal any damage to Fyst, whose defensive abilities easily dealt with the remainder of the damage, allowing him to take the impact and glide away before touching down gently some distance away.
Fyst would slam his hands together to generate a pulse of sound before condensing it and causing it to come crashing down on Haezar’s sternum, knocking the large channeler back temporarily before he literally dissipated the ethereal wave with his massive deflection stat. Up to this point, Fyst had been collecting battle data on his opponent, and he found one thing particularly interesting about the channeler. As the battle drew on, rather than Haezar’s form becoming compromised, it continuously hardened itself, making it more and more difficult for him to damage the Morpher as the battle dragged on.
This would only be made worse when Haezar powered up his Special Ability and became the Behemoth, simultaneously activating all of his morphs and assuming a perfect version of his standard player form. Fyst would keep his distance now and resort to remotely assaulting Haezar with his condensed ethereal waves while he devised a strategy for taking out the monstrous channeler. Unfortunately for Fyst, the longer Haezar remained in his Behemoth state, the more powerful he became as his Meta Core continuously metabolised the ether in the area. Luckily for Fyst, with each attack that Haezar made and missed, he provided the Unique with more vibrations that he could use against him once the time was right.
The others would watch as Haezar tore through the environment while Fyst evaded his attacks, until Haezar managed to score a lucky back hand strike which sent Fyst hurling into a nearby tree. Haezar would waste no time commiting to what he intended to be a finishing blow, before Fyst form exploded with new found energy. A power saved Soliton would be amplified by the ambient noise, Fyst’s own ethereal amplification and his natural ether assist to condense as much energy as possible into a single spot before Fyst activated his Omega Drive in an attempt to put the nail in the coffin. Haezar’s attack would connect with Fyst’s face while Fyst’s attack connected with Haezar’s solar plexus. The resulting strike would resonate with shockwaves before Fyst would blasted through the three which had stopped his momentum after his last hit, while Haezar exploded off in the direction of Roun’s Hummer V-Tech, only to be stopped by Nicola’s Genesis broken Graviton Wave which cancelled his momentum.
Fyst would make it back to his feet and dust off his formal three piece suit as Haezar struggled to stand after the disorienting effects of the sonic attack. Haezar would concede defeat at this point, knowing full well that if he continued he would almost undoubtedly suffer a reversion. Fyst would nod silently, capping his form and making his way over to Haezar. The two titans would shake hands respectfully before Fyst would utter his first words.
“We should do this again sometime...” Came the suggestion from the massive Unique.
“Yeah...” Was all Haezar could say in reply.
Roun would have Raena heal both channelers so that they could all be on their way.
