Bases
allow one to mark their territory
and keep pesky intruders on the
outside of their boundaries. There
are three types of bases:
Factory [200
Cores]:
Factories don't even qualify as
military installations, they are
simply complexes with the capacity
to house multiple research
facilities. These are useful
if a faction has already used up all
of its facility slots on its actual
installations. Factors have no
automated defences what so ever, but
they can house roughly 40 persons
and a number of vehicles, which
should comprise a security team.
Unlike their larger counterparts
Outposts, which can only house 1
small facility, Factories can house
up to 3 small projects. They
cannot house large projects such as
Vehicle Production Facilities or
large weapon production facilities.
Gymnasiums
[250
Cores]: Like
Factories, these are not military
installations. Gymnasiums tend
to be used as remote training
grounds for military factions, and
are usually placed in dangerous or
hard to reach areas. This
allows Faction members to train in
such areas and remain there safely
for large periods of time. As
a result, Gymnasiums are heavily
fortified to resist assaults but
possessing structural enhancements
on par with Headquarter class
facilities but no offensive
capabilities whatsoever.
Unlike other facilities which have a
single general purpose simulator,
Gymnasiums can house up to 3 unique
holosimulators. Gymnasiums
cannot house turrets, cannons,
research or production facilities.
Outpost [300 Cores]: Outposts are
small, they have no internal base
defenses and come only with a single
turret of your choice.
They
can hold a maximum of 4 turrets and
can accommodate 40 persons,
in addition to a
number of vehicles. Outposts cannot
facilitate cannons or large research
facilities due to their small size,
they can however host a single small
project.
Headquarters [720 Cores]: Headquarters are where various factions
establish a command chain, the head
of one particular piece of territory
may be stationed here and most of
the faction business is conducted
here. A Headquarters boasts,
internal security measures such as
laser tripwires and thermal scanned
floors among others. An
H.Q comes
equipped with two turrets and can
hold a total of 8, it can also hold
two cannons and a research facility
and factory, or two of either. An
H.Q can accommodate 120 troops.
Fortress
[1500 Cores]: Just
as the name
says, this is
a stronghold for a faction or
army, fortresses are not user
friendly, the insides hold a myriad
of traps...
some of which result in highly
unpleasant death. A fortress can accommodate up to 12
turrets, 4 cannons and three
facilities in total, whether
research facilities or factories as
well as providing for 350 troops. A
Fortress only comes with 3 turrets
and a cannon however.
