In The Beginning

It is said that there is a Presence in the Ether Stream, a will, a mind, a consciousness if you will. And it is this will, this consciousness, that is the driving force behind the balance that we as a world take for granted. This solitary mind, this sentience, is the singular force behind everything that drives and sustains our uniquely fragile world.

At the time of the creation of our universe, when the massive quasar whose gravitational pull brought the ethereal world to order, the Ethereal mist was parted, fading into the background as the energy source that fed the reactions on which this world is built, sacrificing its energy to supply this dark world with life. In its wake, three components emerged; none by themselves more powerful then their superceder, but each with a specific function by which to facilitate this balance. The first, and most fundamental, was matter, condensed energy in a form so stable that it formed the basis of our universe, around which everything else was structured. The second fragment was Magic, almost the exact counterpart of Matter itself, the sporadic, near chaotic energy source embodied the essence of motion, constantly shifting and changing itself to maintain the youth of our world, facilitation both creation and destruction as it saw fit to create an endless stream of births and deaths. The final was a mid-ground, and as some would say, a balancing point, a powerful but stable energy, existing is a constant state of slow but fluid motion, circulating the universe and binding the first to components together. Ki.

From these three components, our universe emerged, unique and unlike all the others that surrounded it, in the multidimensional cosmic-scape that it berthed from.

As our world developed, a fourth constant emerged, a patriarchal emulation of that core presence of the ether stream, which now came to be found in near all of our dimension’s structures. This conscious presence, this willing mind, had the power to shape the Ethereal components as it saw fit, forming itself as the core of this system. That consciousness, though not always sentient, the heart or even soul, was replicated throughout the system, as each soul entity seemed to spawn a smaller, more focused, more compact and resultingly more powerful soul, as if they maintained a singular goal, encoded into their very existence. As the line was traversed, from universes to galaxies, straight down to planets and organisms, the focused will of the soul became more and more prominent, until finally its peak was reached. The birth of the fundamental worlds

Gaia, the predecessor of both Oya (the realm of the magi) and Earth (the realm of the human) was one of 3 unique worlds created; these worlds each maintained with them a strong ethereal affinity for a singular component of ether, each attracting souls according to its purpose as their first native civilizations began?
