To The Apocalypse
“Three guardians awakened, and the antagonists of this story are yet to surface…” A talk figure spoke from the darkness, proceeding out onto the balcony of the large stone castle at which the object of their speech now resided.
The man whom he addressed said nothing however, looking into the dark night, as his vision trailed over the hills that adorned the European countryside.
As the first figure stepped onto the balcony, the moonlight revealed his youthful features. The man was clean cut, with well trimmed ice blue hair, so pale that it seemed to shin white in the moonlight. His complexion was equally pale, and his skin flawless, uncharacteristic of a warrior. However, the armour which he wore had scene many battles, and his smooth face knew all too well the feel of blood. As he proceeded to stand next to his partner in conversation, his cape blew in the wind, now drawing the attention of the dark skin, green haired man.
“These are treacherous times my friend, you mere presence here signals that.” He started, adjusting the colour of the jacket which he wore, before fixing the golden cuff-links that held the end of the sleeves together. The dark skinned man stood a few inches shorter than his guest, but carried a wider build, while his clothes, though equally formal, we more of a businessman than a warrior. “Each realm has gathered itself two of the four legendary guardians, while their catalysts make their way around the planet blithely unlocking the hidden potential stored in these frail bodied channelers.”
“Yes, but at the same time, neither the destroyers of these worlds nor their herald, the inhibitor of these legendary beings has surfaced… this is quite odd.” He interjected.
“Indeed… but I sense that things shall return on a path to normality quite soon.” The dark skinned man stated.
“You seem very certain of this, Exile.” The pale man now stated, prompting his host to share the information to which he was unaware.
“The Catalyst, my sons, are on the path to revealing this herald, and soon, the very villains which will throw this world into chaos.” He explained.
“Are you so sure of this Shin?” The man no inquired.
“I am certain, they have been set on this path from the moment their frail forms first crossed the threshold into this world. Everything that they have been taught up until this point will be tested in these upcoming times.” Shin smirked.
“And do you think they will be successful?” His guest inquired.
“You seem doubtful… as guardians of this power, has our clan not also produced competent Dragons?” Shin inquired, seemingly insulted. “My exile to this world has not left me weak, I am still fully competent of carrying out my duty and King.”
“Your competence was never in question, but you know well that things are very different here from the way they are back home, it would be foolish to treat things as if they were the same.” The young man explained calmly.
“In that, you’re correct, but rest assured, the result will be the same as always, the Dragon’s flame will cleanse the battle field, and the ashes will provide the nutrients for the rebirth of the world.” Shin stated with confidence, drawing a nod from his guest.
“Then you understand your duties.” Shin simply nodded. “Very well, then I will honour the pact formed by our two clans at the dawn of the age and assist you to the best of my ability… To The Apocalypse.”
“To The Apocalypse.”
