This Is Not Good
“Check out these readings Nina...” A young man sounded, drawing the lady to his desk. As the two sat in the dark, looking on at a single screen, the watched as a series of lines danced.
“That’s interesting, the temporal distortions surrounding all four Gaia pockets seems to be... synchronising.” The young woman replied. “Have you reported this to the head office.
“No not yet, I wanted to be sure that it wasn’t just me... check your satellite readings and see if you’re getting the same read-outs.”
“Okay...” With this the young woman moved back to her desk, running similar scans and getting the same results. “Yeah, it’s confirmed, something is going on, you should report this to the director.
A nod preceeded the young man’s chair tumbling over as he jumped to his feet, rushing out from his terminal and through the massive room that housed hundreds of other analysis such as himself and his workmate. As the man made his way out of the large room, he sprinted down the lengthly corridor and around a sharp turn, leading to the single access point, a massive lift that served as the only entrance and exit to the facility that houses the most advanced surveillance systems in all of Terra. Reaching the lift, he hit the call button and waited for it to descend, only to hear the clattering of heels on tiles as he waited. Out of curiosity, he turned, noting that whoever it was that was rushing to his location had not yet arrived.
The clattering grew close as he stepped into the elevator, allowing him to turn and see his workmate, Nina, sliding past the sharp turn. Justin smirked now, holding the door as she regained her footing and made her way into the lift.
“What are you doing here?” He inquired.
“I want to be there when you find out what’s going on.” She replied as casually as she could.
“Okay then...”
The wait in the lift, though short, was rather uncomfortable as the two anticipated their meetings with their director. As the lift reached the Administrative level, the two exited and made their way towards the Director’s office, moving past his secretary and walking straight into his office.
As the two moved in, the saw two men in the room. The first was their director, a short and stocky European gentlemen, but they did not recognise the other.
“Shaudra, I thought I told you to cancel all of my appointments...” The man exclaimed, much to his guest’s amusement.
“What are you two doing in here?” He inquired now, quite annoyed by their presence.
“I’m sorry Director, but I thought that there was something that you should see.” The young man stated, moving around to the directors terminal and login into his personal satellite feed to show him the odd readings.
As the director moved towards the terminal now, his eyes widened and a look of fear came over him, causing his guest to drift towards the terminal. Nina watched quietly at the larger man’s expression. From his military appearance and general stature, she could tell that he was a high ranking member of some army, but the small green ‘R’ on the insignia on his lapel simply didn’t seem familiar to her. The fact that his eyes widened somewhat when he also viewed the data did unnerve her quite a bit however, causing her to watch him closely as he pulled out his comm. link and opened a connection.
As the link connected, the man opened a conversation.
“Commandant, this is Vice Admiral Daniel Hattori reporting in, I think there is something that you should see...” He stated now, turning the communication device to the screen to allow it to capture the readouts.
“Hm... it’s happening sooner than we expected... no doubt due to that strange tree in Brazil.” Kyasho stated. “Desert Storm has been registering some unnatural fluctuations in the ethereal energy in that area as well, Harry seems to believe that it is a result of a similar organism in the Oyan counterpart to Australia.” Kyasho explained. “I will contact my Oyan resources and see if they can identify these entities and explain the effect... in the meantime, see if you can contact Zed in Greenland, see if the Osiire is willing to share any information on what’s happening to our worlds.”
“Yes Sir.” Came the reply, before Daniel turned to the Director of the facility. “Thank you for your hospitality, and the information but I have to go. I would appreciate it however if you sent any changes in the situation to Mission Control at the Rogue Headquarters in Barbados.” He requested politely before vanishing from the room.
“The Rogue Special Forces...” Nina repeated under her breath. “What’s going on here Sir?”
“This is not good...”
