Reawakened Guardian

"I awoke to a world of chaos, a baron wasteland set ablaze by the two powers that now sought to reawaken this fallen world under their dominion. I could sense death in the air, as only three bright auras emanated from the pitch-black abyss. The first two, the more powerful of the auras were unfamiliar, and their strength was. unnerving. However, I did recognise the third aura, it was that of my former master, and now fellow guardian Ruejin. I trained my mind's eye on him, and rode the ether stream to his location.

For the first time now, I opened my eyes, and physically looked upon the earth. The sight was far more horrid than I had even imagined. On the battlefield lay millions, their bodies lining the field of blood that lay below the two titans. The two men fought fiercely, neither sparing any effort to bring about that demise of the other, however they each proved more durable than the fragile world that they squabbled over. Each unleashed attack tore at the world, slowly destroying that which they fought for.

The more aggressive of the two was tall and of medium build, encased in an immense biomechanical armour. The gold armour reflected the colour of his long ponytail and from each ridge; his flaming blue energy spurted out, in particular, forming a large pair of wings in his back. He wielded a large clawed shield, which engulfed his left arm, allowing him only one hand to wield his flaming nodachi, which he used skilfully in his attempts to relieve his opponent of his head.

His opponent was a smaller and more compact warrior. His body was over run with a black, seemingly corrupted mecha-organic armour. Running through the armour were small ridges, from which green energy emanated, in the form of what could only be likened to electrical circuitry. He hid behind a large buster sword, which defended against his opponent's barrages, waiting for his opportunity to release the energy from the mega-particle blaster cannon equipped on his left arm.

With each attack, the blue and green flames that now engulfed the world burned brighter, leaving the complete destruction of the world, which we were charged with the task of protecting, only an inevitability."
