A World Apart (09/06/1722 AD)

Enree did not know how ominous those words would be, but little did he know, he would live to see the horror which accompanied his wish.  Nevertheless, his theories were not just sound but bathed in reality much like the worlds that his mind has dreamed up.  Trapped in the fractured world, whose existence could only be fathomed by its inhabitants and young Enree, a handful of humanity survived.  Like the inhabitants of Terra and Oya, these Gaians where the ethereal offspring of the Archetype of new humanity.  As such, within them the potential for ethereal channelling also dwelled.  Unlike their sister worlds however, this fractured shard of Gaia was abundant with only the material component of the ether stream.  This caused its inhabitants to develop along the same lines as the civilisations on Terra, who evolved oblivious of the native Ki that dwelled in that world, simply advancing far more quickly due to the greater abundance of material energy.  However with Oya and Terra intersecting this probability with such ferocity, this reality was prone to horrible cataclysms above its surface, as the chaotic realities of Oya and Terra collided with it, deleting, copying and overwriting parts of this world with parts of theirs.

For this reason, most of the inhabitants of this world sought out the parts of the earth that were uninhabited by Terrans and Oyans, making their cities at the bottom of the seas, places where neither Oyan nor Terran technologies could take them.  Above the surface, a number of more sporadic ecological communities would form, each short lived due to the cataclysms which limited their life-spans, while a few clans of humanity remained to brave the unpredictable cataclysms.  This left only the strongest of entities, both humans and animals, that could inhabit the surface of this Earth, each so heavily materially reinforced that even the most stable of ethereal constructs from either Terra or Oya would be displaced by them, and not the other way around.  It was here that a number of the more powerful creatures that would later come to exist in New Gaia would spawn from, either being transported to New Gaia during the fusion or being picked up by one of this world’s sister realities before that time.

Entities such as the Wild Vine, or the four deity class homoculi Byakko, Suzaku, Genbu and Seiryu would be examples of those entities which found themselves unwillingly transported to Oya before the fusion.  Chicomecoatl would arrive long before Reujin and Enree’s reawakening, allowing that massive entity to colonize Crystales long before humans in that area exhibited any significant channelling abilities.  This allowed her to rule this area as a God for centuries before the Falco clan migrated to this area to challenge that status.  The four cardinal guardians, who were originally created to guard what few inhabitants of this Earth decided to stay above ground, would appear some time after Chicomecoatl, bringing with them the Arcane races that constructed them.

Unfortunately by the time Enree and Reujin manifested at their locations in Malaikin and Itam however, these constructs would already be corrupted by the Magic in the area, having abandoned their original role as protectors of the arcane races that found themselves inadvertently cut and pasted to Oya in one of the more unfortunate collisions.  All evidence would lead to the conclusion that the arcane races which created these four entities would be the victims of their own guardians, though no remains would ever be found, short of the arcane race which inhabited Japan, those that would eventually survive to produce the Itami line.

Otherwise, the history of this third earth would remain a mystery to both Oyans and Terrans, until the fusion and formation of New Gaia allowed man to finally explore the remnants of this shattered world.
